This cabin exceeded our expectations! Communication from the owners was top notch! The cabin is well stocked with everything you need. Truly enjoyed our stay!
Wabi Sabi Cabin was the perfect place to be quiet amongst the trees and calm in nature. We were able to relax, unwind and rejuvenate from our everyday stress. The cabin is well-stocked, beautifully decorated and tucked into the forest of trees. It was rainy every night that we were there, but I can imagine you can do some amazing stargazing! As it was, we loved hearing the rain patter on the roof as we fell asleep at night. Highly recommend!
Great property with everything you need for a relaxing getaway
Cozy, modern inside, rustic outside. Far enough from amenities to feel remote but close enough to local restaurants and provisions if you want them. Nearby access to short or long hikes in beautiful country.Owners were attentive and helpful from afar.
Exactly as advertised. Clean, bright, stylish, comfortable, well-appointed. Super responsive and thoughtful host. Great long weekend getaway for us and our dogs. No hesitations, just book it!
Celebrating my wife's birthday, we stayed several nights at the Wabi-Sabi cabin. Furnished well, stylish, all rooms nice, there would have been plenty of room for a small family to stay. It happened to snow this weekend so we didn't venture out too much, but we stayed in played some table games, watched some movies, heated up the wood stove, and took a break from the fast pace world.
Sweet little cabin in a pretty valley with lots of great outdoor activities and good food (if you know where to look - including the burgers at A Corner Mart). Really well appointed â well equipped kitchen, fluffy towels, a comfortable bed, grill, and deck. Fast WiFi for work or movies and a desk. Plus, dog bowls and furniture covers for the pooch. Had a great time and would stay again!
Just what we needed, a quiet long weekend away from our jobs and the daily grind. Had a wonderful day hiking and enjoyed some much needed down time. The house is beautiful, clean and my dog loved the deck. Thank you for sharing your home.
This cabin was adorable!!! very clean. The only downside is seating area in the family room. More than 2 people with pets itâs a little cramped to get cozy and watch TV. Would definitely recommend for couples.
What a wonderful stay and a lovely cabin! We came with two kids, ages 6 and 2, and it was perfect â the cabin is really thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed, the cabin itself is well designed with a contemporary vibe, and everything being on one story was perfect for a family with a toddler. The area has hiking and a lovely little pond with a beach that was perfect for the kids to play in about a five minute drive away. The outside of the house there is a fire pit (firewood can be purchased nearby at a stand with cash) and there was a lovely deck that we ate on whenever the weather was nice. Our week-long stay was so peaceful, which parents of young kids know is a remarkable thing to say.
The hosts were great â they were responsive to our questions before booking, available during our stay for anything we needed, and sent a guide to the area and house beforehand which was so thoughtfully put together and helpful (nearby restaurants, grocery stores, things to do, tips about the area, etc.). For families with food allergies â the Lost and Found pizza place and the Cove Mountain Bakery were particularly accommodating and helpful in making sure our family members with food allergies would be safe (and also delicious â the apple pizza and the cinnamon rolls were fantastic). Luray Caverns is about an hour away and is a perfect adventure for a rainy day. We would definitely come back to this cabin!
We have 3 kids (17,15,12) and everyone had a pleasant stay at this cute cabin. We met friends in Lost City for a long weekend of hiking and hanging out. The house has everything that you need and a bit more. There is AC in the summer so that makes everything better after a long day of hiking. Nice deck for entertaining outside. We would come back and stay in this cabin again no hesitation. Thanks for a great stay. If this is on your list of potential places to rent, save yourself the time and book.
We had a great stay at the cabin for a few nightsâ getaway over spring break. The kids (ages 8 and 3) loved playing on the grounds and hiking around. The interior was spotless and well-appointed. I loved how rustic it was outside and how cozy and clean and modern it was inside. The property is right next to a recreation area that we took advantage of by hiking and fishing. It was the off season for the rec area so we had to hike/walk in and out which was a bit of a haul but worth it. The house was kid friendly and our boys slept soundly! Definitely recommend!
You can't go wrong with this sweet, cozy cabin in the woods! It's been recently renovated, so everything is new and pristine. The kitchen has all of the amenities , and everything is organized and readily available. The cabin itself is very warm with a wood stove for added ambience. The hosts, Leona & John, were extremely forthcoming with pertinent information in their house manual and was very responsive. There are several hiking trails nearby. Unfortunately the weekend that we visited was rainy, but even with that, we enjoyed every moment of our stay. We highly recommend Wabi Sabi cabin as a cozy getaway, and we will be planning a return visit to the cabin in warmer months to explore the trails and check out the neighboring George Washington National Forest.
Outside? Just another rustic cabin in the woods.
Inside? Prepare to be surprised. A beautifully appointed, bright, welcoming home from home. The owner has thought of everything you might need for a few days away. Comfortable king bed, a spa-like bathroom and a fully stocked kitchen. Just bring food and prepare to relax! Definitely a 5* escape.
We had a wonderful stay at Wabi Sabi cabin. The decor is great and itâs very clean. The kitchen was very well stocked and everything was labeled. There were a lot of board games. We slept great in the beds and we really appreciated the the great window shades! There are views of the forest and nature from all the windows and the outdoor deck is really nice. We also enjoyed roasting marshmallows outside on the fire pit. You can walk into the forest right outside the cabin. We really enjoyed our time away and wish we could have stayed longer.
I had a delightful experience at the Wabi-Sabi cabin! I took a last minute trip and wasn't sure what to expect, but the pictures don't do the cabin justice. The aesthetic, the labels, the abundance of windows, the ease of the blinds, lots of outlets, lots of coasters - great attention to detail. The wifi was strong enough for remote work and the kettle is my new favorite work from home hack. The area was beautifully changing colors and far enough away from the town for quiet while close enough to go explore or grab a meal. The cabin has lots of amenities and the guest information book includes several suggestions of nearby points of interest. I went to one of the recommended bakeries and it was worth every penny. Leona is a fantastic host, too! Something to keep in mind: the shower and the large jetted tub aren't included in the pictures. The shower may be a little snug, so it may be helpful to bring a tub liner just in case.
The cabinâs location is very convenient to all great local hikes. Our family is very active and we enjoyed everything the local area had to offer.
The interior decor is beautiful and kitchen is extremely well organized and stocked. Being dog friendly is a big plus. Our dogs really enjoyed the hikes. We will definitely be back. The owners are very helpful and provide a lot of extra personal touches. Thank you!
