My room was on the top floor with a private use bathroom across the corridor frommy room. It was a small shower room with toilet. The shower was OK, but not very powerful. I liked the amenities provided. Shower gel etc and a razor pack in the bathroom, coffee and hot chocolate in the bedroom.
Wifi was excellent.
If I have to put some small gripes, it would be there was nowhere to sit and work. So not ideal for a business stay. It was on the top floor which is quite a hike and there is no lift, so be aware if you find stairs difficult. Breakfast was tasty and all hot except the mushrooms. The menu choice was good, and orange juice tasted like orange juice (it often doesn't in other Hotels).
The welcome and attention at breakfast was very good.
The hotel has that old world charm with wood, paintings, antiques etc.
Parking was no problem as I got there early. There seems to be plenty of parking, but I think it is first come first served.
Veldig hyggelig og sjarmerende lite hotell med fantastiske verter.
Gammelt bygg som er satt i stand. Rent og pent. God frokost. Et sted Ă„ fĂžle deg hjemme.
Prepare to be pleasantly suprised. The hosts of this guesthouse have put the effort in to make the building, its private and common common rooms feel special. Their service matches that with personal interaction and support to make your stay special.
Earmarked for every future visit in the area.
Visited end of August 2024. Lovely warm welcome. Wonderfully friendly host. Fabulous breakfast. Google Maps (SatNav) takes you very easily straight to the adjoining car park. Plenty of free parking for cars, but a bit tight getting into the entrance. I was sleeping in a top floor room with window open - It was quite noisy from what I think is a pub nearby. Otherwise, very good all round.
The furnishings and the decoration is lovely .... so much thought has gone into each little detail. The owners are wonderful hosts and thr breakfast is to due for.
What a find! The gentlemen who run this B&B are lovely, well organised and helpful. A beautiful breakfast too. The area is very run-down, but then it's in the centre of Loughborough! We were there to visit the GCR train station, so it was as convenient as could be. We had no trouble with traffic noise.
