Had a great stay. We were there for the reggae fest at another venue that finished at 8pm & by pure change the hunting lodge had a SKA night on. So was great carrying on. Enjoyed it so much. Had a great sleep with comfy bed & fab cooked breakfast ÂŁ10 each extra but well worth it. The staff were friendly & helpful. Will definitely stay again.
Fine but the room creaked a lot. I know it's an old building but even my bed creaked when I turned. They are doing refurbishment so hopefully will improve.
Very friendly relaxed and welcoming . Cannot comment on breakfast as we had to leave early. We did have lunch on arrival and the Fish Share Platter was amazing .
A really nice welcome on arrival.
My room was amazing, a big 4 poster bed, old wooden wardrobe and period chair.
Plenty of choice for tea and coffee.
I had fish and chips which was lovely and I didnt see any plates on other tables that hadn't been eaten completely, so must be good.
A real fire kept thing really nice and cosy and the guiness was spot on.
Continental breakfast in the morning was great and my croissant was lively and fresh and warm.
