This property was perfectly located for my family to visit family in Louisville. Everything was relative close and we loved getting back to the property with clean, relaxing, and well laid out environment.
We were in town for Memorial Day weekend, and our first visit to Louisville. Location is great if you have a car. We were able to see Churchill Downs, Louisville Slugger Factory, Kentucky Kingdom, The Brown Hotel, and explore Nulu all within a 5-10 minute drive. Easy to walk to local coffee shops. Comfortable beds and furniture, nice showers and hot tub. Foosball and shuffleboard very fun. Downsides: very sparse kitchen utensils. Literally 5 forks and spoons. No way you could have a meal here for more than 4-5 people. No corkscrew. Had to go buy our own at 11pm when we finally arrived after a long drive. No hairdryers in the entire place, even though the listing shows they are here. Thatâs a big deal for women, ha. Dart board broken. Hosts did not answer any communication during stay, which would have been a problem if a more serious issue. Steps are very steep, so be aware of that if anyone has mobility issues. With all this said, we would definitely stay again because of the overall comfort and location. But needs some attention from host to the details.
This space is super cool! All 8 of us walked in & had the same wow reaction. We loved that there were several âgatheringâ spaces in the house, where we could all hangout comfortably & especially loved that there were 4.5 bathrooms for all of us to get ready efficiently & comfortably. The neighborhood was cool b/c there were some cool walkable places to eat & drink. We were also a quick Lyft ride to yummy eats.Weâd stay here again in a heartbeat!
My family of 4 (2 adults & 2 kids) stayed with my sisterâs family (2 adults & 2 kids) here. It was perfect for a large group. There was a whole third floor that was great for the kids to use and adults to have some separation. I will say that the stairs are super steep, so I would be aware for little kids or people with mobility issues, but it was a great stay. There was a cool food hall just a few blocks down that ended up being nice to go to.
Very nice and clean with some games to entertain. Easy checkin and not a cumbersome check out routine. However, towels were missing in action, couple lights didnât work, missing lightbulb and a broken toilet seat. Owner never replied to my message and VRBO had a hard time reaching them.
The heating units in two of the bedrooms did not work. They sent space heaters, but it wasnât warm enough in the downstairs bedroom. The parking lot was a solid sheet of ice. The shower curtain didnât cover in one of the bathrooms and was missing rings. There were no hand towels for any of the bathrooms. The dishwasher was literally falling apart. The owner was great about communicating and the check in/out process was easy. However, for what the price was per night, I expected better.
Group of 8 in town for Bourbon Trail tours. Plenty of room for everyone. Large kitchen and living area for everyone to gather. Beds were comfortable and could not hear noise from other bedrooms. Could hear the train, but came prepared with ear plugs, thanks to other reviews.
Not a huge deal, but a little inconvenient...not enough towels. One bath towel per person, no hand towels, less than one wash cloth per person, no towels for hot tub, and no kitchen towels or dish cloths.
I would absolutely recommend this place if you are looking for a giant party space with a hot tub as it seems that is itâs main purpose. Things were broken and missing in every room. Broken glass on the floor in the kitchen, shower curtain in claw foot tip torn out of the ceiling, broken glass picture shoved under a bed, towel racks torn off wall, thermostat broken in top floor the list goes on. Host does not respond through messenger platform through the app to any issues and I would never take my family there again. But if you plan on getting piss drunk and wrecking the place this is the spot for you as it doesnât appear the host checks in or fixes anything or has any idea what state it is left in or does any real cleaning between guests.
Friends and family converged in Louisville for a football game. This place was perfect for our group of 10. Wonderfully remodeled space and perfect location for our needs. Would recommend to others and would stay again. Cheers
Great place with lots of character. Only minor slight was the lack of communication with the owner. Had a question that was never responded to and did not receive any communication until the day we checked in. Other than that it was a great place
My husband and I stayed for 3 days I this big beautiful house and we were in love with it! We will definitely be back! The stunning brick and the whimsical decoration and decor were perfectly done!
Came in with 5 friends - really just needed a crash pad - this house is outstanding! Very unassuming charm - plenty of room - easy access to everything. Owner was great to work with and very accomadating.
We stayed for one week for a basketball tournament. Plenty of room for our needs and provided space to make and eat meals on site and not have to eat out every meal. We really enjoyed the property and would definitely return. Logan Street Mkt and Toastyâs Tavern were also great places to grab a bite and within walking distance. The train didnât bother us, as we brought earplugs. Such a unique property with lots of character.
Beautiful renovation. Worked out perfectly for our group of 8 adults. Plenty of space and privacy for all.
Lots of fun places to eat and drink within walking distance or a quick drive.
Train tracks are close but we had seen the review mentioning that so came prepared with earplugs.
Would book again!
5 stars all around for this property. Beautifully renovated and attention to every detail. So much space for all of us to spread out. Couldnât have asked for anything better. We will be back next year for another bourbon trail visit!
I booked this house for a family gathering. Three couples, one single adult, a toddler and two babies. It was spacious and allowed everyone their own privacy but also plenty of room to gather together.
Highly recommend checking out the local area - cool marketplace and a couple parks just a block or two away, other niche shops close by too. If you enjoy libations, like we do, the liquor store, and the brewery right across the street was super convenient!!
This was a great place for a group of guys, not sure it would be great for familyâŠ
It is noisy, the front street, as well as the train usually goes by a couple times a night.
Definitely not for seniors, with all the steep stairs.
Lots of room, all the amenities you need.
