We had a lovely time and the house and pool surely played its part in that. Our kids were always in the pool even straight after breakfast! We loved the house and it was so spacious, well decorated and had everything we needed including a lovely bbq area. I would highly recommend Casa do Pomar.

Family holiday

First family holiday in several years, the villa, the surroundings far exceeded our expectations. It has everything a family could possibly need to completely relax and unwind. Host was so helpful and responsive to any questions. Very secure and children friendly, pool was beautiful. the grounds and gardens were so tranquil. Facilities brilliant so spacious and exceptionally clean, outdoor BBQ and shaded eating area was beautiful. Great villa in a beautiful location! There is privacy and beautiful mountain views. Large swimming pool with a pleasant garden. Really everything is provided, garden house with separate shower and toilet, barbecue, pool toys, etc. We had a wonderful time. Shops and restaurants within a 10-minute drive. Wow, this villa is amazing!

We stayed with our family for 10 days at Casa do Pomar. The pool is big and cooled us off as it was very hot outside. The house is perfectly cool with all the airconditioning units. Also the internet is perfect, there is a fibre connection so we could stream movies and have a zoom meeting with grandma back home. The house is beautiful and looks brand new . We loved the location, as it is overlooking an orchard and some hills. We had the time of our life here and will be back next year! Can’t think of anything.

Great 3rd visit

We enjoyed our third visit to Casa Pomar very much. Our kids are already calling this our home away from home. They absolutely love the house and the area surrounding it, with Roca da Pena as their favourite spot. As they are growing up, the beautiful hikes are becoming more and more enjoyable for the whole family :-) The amazing views from the house and the blossom smells from the orange trees give you that instant holiday feeling. The house was impeccable as always, with the AC units being welcome addition to the bedrooms!

Vila was so amazing, super spacious, clean and beautiful. There was everything that we needed, the pool was big and great as well. BBQ area outside. It was great having pool toys and games available for the kids. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and the scenery was really special. A very peaceful location. The nearest village is about a 5 minute drive, there are a couple of small supermarkets and cafés. The bigger shops and beach are roughly 30 minutes away. On our arrival , we opened the doors to a most spectacular villa , where all my family including two young children had a fabulous ten days There was a slight issue with the electronic gate, but after a message to the company, this was resolved immediately I would have no hesitation in recommending this to other people. Superb accommodation... beautiful, peaceful location. Although we kept all shutters closed throughout the day and opened up in the evenings, the villa was still very warm Although I think air con might spoil the visual aspect of the villa, maybe fans need to be included

What memories we made here as a family of 8! Incredible modern and spacious villa that really has the wow factor! The pool is huge and one of the main reasons for booking this villa. We played games every night under the sperate covered outdoor seating area alongside many a BBQ. A beautifully presented villa with everything you could possibly need for a relaxing time away from it all. Equipped with fibre internet and AC. Set in the hills near Alte it is so peaceful and surrounded by an orchard. About 30 minutes to some incredible caves and coastline. The communication before, during and after our stay have been excellent and would stay here again with Portucasa in a heartbeat. You will not find better and not be disappointed! Nothing

Glorious place

Communication was great with details sent via Whatsapp, e-mail and a phone conversation to make sure we had no problems. The villa itself was absolutely stunning and there was plenty of groceries/goods to get our holiday up and running (Thanks for the wine!).The villa itself is remote which absolutely suited us but we could drive not too far for provisions. Great relaxed week in a top notch villa

Instructions were very easy in order to get access into the house. Fantastically spacious villa. Was like it was brand new when we first entered. Little nice touches like spices, coffee etc already there Plenty of towels to use Portable speaker was amazing! Garry Couldn't work out how to open the gates once inside them other than use the fob. There was an issue with the drains towards the end of the holiday so reported it to be sorted.

Beautiful countryside accommodation.

This accommodation is perfect for families and groups. It was clean and very well maintained. Communication with Portucasa before and during our stay was clear and fast and they immediately answered all our questions about the villa beforehand. The huge garden was covered by sun throughout the whole day so we could enjoy a sunset dinner outside. All amenities and inventory was taken care of so we didn't need to buy or bring anything ourselves (kitchen items for example). We noticed there were plenty of fresh towels for the duration of our stay, a small detail we really liked and did not find on any of our previous trips. The location is really nice for long hikes in a quiet and green environment and we felt like we were really far our into the countryside, although it was only a 15 minute drive to the beach. This combination of being close to all major cities and beaches but still have privacy and space was ideal for us. We would recommend this villa to everyone and definitely plan on visiting again! We visited during the winter months so the pool was too cold to use comfortably during our stay because it's not heated. This will most likely not be an issue during the hot spring and summer months.

Enjoying the lively spring colours & smells at Casa Pomar

Casa Pomar is a very spacious, clean, wonderful house. The kitchen is very well equipped and there's plenty of storage for groceries. The circular dining area is definitely our favourite place in the house! The garden with so many beautiful flowers and plants was a joy for our young children to play around. The swimming pool is very well maintained and although a bit cold in April, very enjoyable. Enjoying the garden with stunning views and wonderful smells from the nearby orange tree orchard made it an excellent getaway location. We will definitely be back!

Spledid luxary equipped villa in authentic backland area near Alte

Ideal place to experinece wonderful hollidays with family or groups of friends. Lot of privacy for everybody. We like the flowefull and well maintained garden very much. Walks in the direct surroundings of the villa (a guide is under development, so add your ideas). We enjoyed birdlife avery day just from our chair at the swimming pool. Nice, authentic towns to visit e.g. Alte, Loule, Silves and Paderne. Beaches at 25 km distance, Explore the coast. We enjoyed the mountainous region north of Alte up to Almodovar. A lot to discover! Will come again.

It is a beautiful house, spacious and like new, fully equipped, in a very nice environment. Beautiful swimming pool. We, including the children, had a great holiday. It is wonderful to stay in the house alone, but there are also plenty of fun trips to do. I don’t know any improvements

We have had a wonderful holiday at Casa de Pomar!!

It was difficult to find a suited accommodation for our group of 6 adults and 4 children but this one checked all the boxes! Multiple bed rooms, a large living room, wonderful dining table under a very high ceiling and a fully equipped kitchen. Besides that the kids were very happy with the large pool and big garden where they could play. The only thing that was not fully up and running yet was the wifi. The next time that we go on holiday with a larger group we will certainly visit Casa de Pomar again. Based on our positive experience some friends of us have also visited the accommodation and we have understood that the wifi is now working seamlessly. None, just keep up the high standard and we will book again

A wonderful time spent in a beautiful setting.

When you arrive at the accommodation you are already happy, you are in the middle of a very beautiful environment. Lots of orange trees and other beautiful trees. The garden with a nice large swimming pool is beautifully landscaped. Beautiful views of the hills. The accommodation feels very spacious, there are plenty of rooms and bathrooms available all in their own color and style. The pergola in the garden is also wonderful to eat or sit with many people. Definitely a place to go back to again. There is not a lott to improve, It's so complete.
