Ashmore Inn and Suites is run down and way past its prime. I’ve never seen a front desk at a hotel with so many people, all with different complaints. The check in and out process was long and cumbersome. All for a dirty room that needed to be updated 10 years ago.

Just barely 'ok' with great front desk

Trent at the front desk is the best thing about this place. He is excellent and I highly recommend he be given a raise or look for a better position. Otherwise, this place is just tired and in need of a complete face lift. The bed was surprisingly good but everything else is rather run down.

Reserved a king bed with a king sofa. Was put in a semi clean room with a king bed and a very small twin fold out that was stained, disgusting and almost flat. We had to walk to the other building to get bedding for the fold out.

This will be our last stay at Ashmore! Does the cleaning staff just not clean? Floors, baseboards, walls all dirty! The smell old and dirty! the beds were not made properly my daughter scrapped her leg because of the frame not on correctly! No Hotel guest should have to ask for a vacuum or use their own cleaning supplies and Febreze for these rooms! We did have 2 rooms, and our children didn't want to look for another room at another place so we tolerated it, but we will not book here again!

There was cockroaches and the microwave didn’t work. Front desk was non existent. WiFi didn’t work. No manager on duty to even attempt to rectify situation. Terrible place. Avoid.

Staff were nice. Lots of restaurants and major stores near. Hotel was dirty and gross. Stained couch, trash still in the room, under the sofa. I went to the dollar tree and bought my own cleaning supplies to clean bathtub to shower. Daily would have no choice for cleaning and all they "cleaned" was making the bed and emptied the trashes. Also the pool was horrid, very small and maybe 5 functional chairs to use. Definitely will not visit again.

Property ouside was dirty, trash and empty beer bottles outside the back entrance which was not locked, anyone could just walk in. Parking lot was dark and not well lit it didn't feel safe. We had to put the key in the door about 10 times before it opened.The room STANK so bad! It had an old and musty smell, luckily we had air freshener. Bathroom had alot of hair on the floor and in the tub. Pulled back the sheets to check the bed and there was dark hair down by the foot of the bed on the white sheets clearly visible. We were in town for a wedding got back late exhausted if not we would have packed up and left. I chose this hotel based on reviews but NEVER AGAIN will I stay here and we visit and stay in Lubbock about 4-5 times a year.

WiFi was the worst WiFi I have ever experienced. 4 out of 5 tries got a message unable to connect. Once connected the signal was extremely weak and the wifi signal would drop after one or two minutes. The sink in the bathroom constantly leaked.

Good breakfast, most of the staff were great, balcony & pool view is nice. Non chain like charm of the hotel is refreshing. Disliked the lack of ease and convenience of booking/extending stay & the communication between staff. Room wasn’t cleaned or refreshed during my stay, issues with plumbing, one of the night front desk women was sweet but the other women rude and wrong, lack of understanding.

It was terrible. The room was dirty. The toilet had poop on the toilet seat. They moved us to another room and the room wreaked of smoke. The carpet in front of the sink had whit studs o. It that looked like mucous or semen. The sink was dirty. So went to front desk and told them we were leaving. So I called hotels.com about a refund. We had to go elsewhere!
