The city of Lugano has much to offer travellers, whether they are looking for an evening off after a day of meetings, or want to entertain their family. The unique blend of Swiss efficiency and Italian “dolce vita” has blessed the city with excellent restaurants, cafés and markets, for those who want to cook at home. The wonderful farmers market in Via Carducci (Tuesday and Friday) is just 20 mins walk from the apartment.

Lugano is home to a wide variety of museums including the Museum of Art of Italian Switzerland (MASI) (20 minutes walk), one of Switzerland’s most visited cultural centres. A day trip on Lago Lugano sailing between Switzerland and Italy is not to be missed, or if you prefer to stay on land, a stroll along the waterfront in Parco Ciani (15 minutes walk) and the Old Town is a relaxing way to soak up the beauty of your surroundings.

For business travellers, the apartment is just an 11-minute walk from the Centro Esposizioni Lugano exhibition centre and an 18-minute walk from the Palazzo Dei Congressi Lugano.

The closest international airports are in Italy - Milan Malpensa 1 hour and 5 minutes away by car, or Milan Linate, a 1 hour and 20-minute journey. Arriving by train? Lugano’s railway station is a 25-minute walk from the apartment.
