The cabin was cute. Smaller than the pictures lead you to believe, but cozy. The walnuts hitting the tin roof made me very nostalgic for time at my grandmothers as a child. If we were to revisit the area, we would pick something on the other side of the river. We were in the area to hike and most of the trails we were headed to required further driving. This is not a complaint, the drive is beautiful in the fall, more an observation.
Cabin is located with river access. You have privacy, but it's not secluded. Stocked kitchen, comfortable beds and well designed layout. Great get away from the city. Definitely would stay here again.
Host was very good at answering questions and getting back to us. Lovely cabin by the river, nice fire pit area, Sitting in the hot tub under the metal roof listening to it rain was very relaxing. Beautiful views of the mountains and the river.
Had a view of a mountain along with the river, so peaceful and quiet. Great weekend getaway and loved the hottub on the covered screened in porch so we didnât have to worry about rain or bugs.
I had a great stay! The place was cozy and had everything I needed. The host was incredibly responsive, helpful, and super lenient, which made the whole experience even better. Would definitely recommend staying here!
Older, but very clean rustic cabin. Beautiful views, and the amenities provided by the host were the best we have seen. Quality cookware, dishes, bedding . Firewood provided. Wonderful stay. Would come back.
Owner was super responsive and helpful. House was super clean and its tough to find a more cozy spot. Its incredibly difficult to find a place with a wood burning fireplace these days. Was so thankful for this as its a great fireplace in a perfect location. We will definitely be coming back as you can't beat the coziness, cleanliness, and quaintness. Being right on the river it must feel great in the summer and spring with a breeze coming off the water and beautiful in the fall with the leaves changing. Kitchen has everything you need with plenty of pots and pans for general cooking. TV has a ton of streaming options and Wifi is good.
Great location for the family. Proximity to Luray 20 mins, great river front location with a hot tub which the kids loved. Nightly fires were a plus. Small but all you need. Beautiful mountain view. Close to several hikes and not too far from Shenandoah Park as well.
Beautiful setting along the river. Comfortable cabin. The owners did a great job anticipating the little things that would make our stay comfortable - a fully equipped kitchen, wood for the fire pit, a blanket to cuddle on the couch. It truly felt like our home away from home for the week. The cabin is located about a 12 minute drive down a curvy dead end road (many other cabins and campgrounds on the road too) so plan accordingly. Once you reach the intersection it is an easy drive to Luray (nice size town with amenities), Shenandoah National Park, etc. We would definitely stay there again if in the area. Relaxing beautiful setting.
It was simple and perfect! The location on the river was beautiful. The owner included a lot of nice extras-paper towels, coffee, bottled water, and firewood.
Just what we were looking for to get away for a few days with our kids and enjoy the Shenandoah mountains. Pretty secluded feeling right on the river. Not far from Luray and Shenandoah National Park. Cabin was clean, had all of the necessary amenities and some supplies not normally provided and a relaxing hot tub. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend and return.
Spent Thanksgiving here with my family and we loved it. Itâs cozy, on the river, limited traffic passing by, plenty of outdoor seating and fire pit. We took the kayaks out a couple of times. A bit tricky getting in and out of in cold weather but was great. Definitely coming back!
