Room-was perfect. Very good bed and pillows. Bathroom -clean but sink was wobbly. Bar staff -very friendly. Catering staff- professional, friendly and very polite. So nice to see and hear a friendly smile and a greeting.

Quaint old English luxury

What a lovely English hotel, atmospheric in an old way it wraps it arms around creating a safe warm feeling of olden days luxury. Mattress and shower excellent quality and the rooms well cleaned. A little tired in places and the windows could do with a good clean. Lovely event meal, breakfast was reasonable although table service was expected at this price point… and more importantly eggs to order. Would we recommend it? Absolutely!

Historic charm

Lovely hotel right in the town, parking at rear, and a leafy courtyard for afternoon drinks. Our breakfast each morning was perfect, plenty to choose from. Close to New Forest walking and bike riding trails. Walk to pubs, stores and cafes. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

The hotel was conveniently located at the very heart of Lyndhurst and in a good decorative state. Staff were very good and friendly. The breakfast was superb. The hotel is situated in a very busy road that is the only way through the traffic to navigate the area. Downside - we booked a classic double room however the room was tiny and up in what appeared to be the loft space and we had to get to it via windy stairs although there was an old slow lift. Car parking - whilst there are a number of car parking spaces, it was quite tight to park and I imagine if the hotel was extremely busy, it might be challenging to park. Having said this, the hotel is located in the middle of town. Overall we had a nice stay but we’d like to try other hotels or properties next time.

This hotel is in the heart of Lyndhurst with easy access on foot to shops and restaurants. Mostly flat level for walkers of all ages. All staff are super friendly and helpful. The hotel feels spacious and is well presented. Ample parking and a quiet spacious garden are a bonus. Our bedroom at the back of the hotel was a good size with all the amenities you would expect. High ceiling, not overlooked and quiet. Lovely breakfast and dinner in very pleasant separate dining rooms. Would definitely return for another weekend break in the New Forest. Thank you.
