It took half an hourfor my 86 year old mother to find her room because they kept sending us the wrong way. Our dinner reservation which we verified at check in was not recorded and the maitre d made it clear he thought we were pretending we had booked. The food was expensive but very poor particularly the cheese soufflé and the one vegetarian option. Breakfast was a dismal buffet. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the premises were beautiful so it was a shame.

There is no lift at the property, had to carry bags all the way by stairs to the second floor. Too many lady bugs in the room. Service was poor. Called reception for bottled water which was never delivered despite following up. Shower tap was too hard to turn. Water pressure from shower was low. No hand shower in the bath tub. Overall not a great experience.

Lovely grounds and fabulous spa facilities. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The ladies at the reservation entrance were all exceptional. Jasmine who works at the spa did a fabulous job on sprucing up my tired hands. I felt like a Disney princess after she did her magic on my pedicure!

Lovely hotel, although very dated in parts. Room wasn't ready by 3pm but they did extend our check out until 12pm upon request. We also wasn't told anything about breakfast so think the overall check in experience could be better. Room was very basic, we paid for a suite but would not say it is worth it. It fely grubby, finger prints on glasses, tootpase on sink etc.
