We stayed at the Urban Inn hotel in Madrid and were pleasantly surprised by how new, clean, and modern everything felt. The sleeping pods were fairly comfortable, and while we were on a bottom bunk, we could hear movement from the capsule aboveâwhich might be worth considering if youâre a light sleeper. It was a bit warm inside the capsule, but cracking the door helped. Thereâs a fan inside, which is loud but personally comforting if youâre used to white noise. It did help with airflow.
Bathrooms were located one floor down from the sleeping area. They were sleek and modern, though I wished I had brought more modest sleepwear since the sleeping quarters arenât gender-separated. The showers had excellent rain-style heads and perfect water temperature, though changing was tricky with only one bench for six stalls.
The location is fantasticâjust a short walk to major tourist spots and several metro stations. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Storage was minimal but functional: one drawer under the capsule fit two carry-on bags. Note that towels and padlocks come with an extra charge.
Overall, this hotel offered great value for the price. Despite a few quirks, Iâd definitely consider staying here again.
