It’s a 5 star that could do with modernising. For example soft close cabinetry would be nice. It’s HVAC is not up to par. I had to ask the night watchman to up the heat specifically for my room as it’s set centrally at one level fits all. The plus is the room was large and had a great view over the square. The breakfast staff deserve special mention for their dedication to the highest levels of service they are a credit to the manageress.

We were so grateful that the hotel let us check in at 12 instead of 3 after an overnight flight..The room was lovely and quiet..pity that the restaurant and bar were closed..the pool in the sister hotel was amazing but very expensive drink in the pool bar beer 8 euro and cocktail 15 euro. In a great location near the centre of Madrid..Overall i would definitely stay in this hotel again.

Uitstekend

Uitstekende lokatie, loopafstand van diverse musea, Sol (centrum en metro), Retino (prachtig park), etc. Voorzijde wat lawaaierig.

Fantastic Trip

This is the second time I have stayed in the Villa Real Hotel. I had given the hotel 3 stars last time as the housekeeping had some issues. However I have given the Hotel 5 stars as these issues have been sorted out. The room was basic but functional, the bed was massive for Madrid standards and the pillows were fantastic. All the staff we encountered were first class but I would like to give a big thank you to the housekeeping staff. I come to Madrid once or twice a year and I will definitely consider returning to the Villa Real. Madrid is just a fantastic city and the location of the hotel is perfect.
