The overall property was nice and well maintained. The add however was misleading as we had no idea that we’d rented a suite in a separate building. We were excited to be staying in the house, but we were escorted to a loft in a building behind the house. It was nice but not the house. The main door didn’t lock, there was a shortage of towels (3 for 6 of us) and the coffee machine leaked water and wasn’t usable. All minor minus the non locking door. Great location.

Margaret et Susan sont très accueillante et on se sent rapidement à l'aise. La maison ancestrale est vraiment très belle , bien entretenue et décorée avec gôut. Petit déjeuner continental copieux avec des pâtisseries maison. Lit confortable. Mahone Bay est une belle petite ville.

We stayed in the larger loft suite, which is actually above the garage and not part of the main house. Things were clean and comfortable. Assumed it was a B&B from the name but were never invited into the house or informed of any breakfast. Also, the door to the bottom suite did not lock from either side, making the stay a bit uncomfortable. Someone doing renovations left the tv on in the bottom suite all night at max volume as well.

We had a fantastic stay at this historic B&B, set in a beautifully preserved 1800s home that still carries its old-world charm. Margaret, our host, was incredibly welcoming and truly showcased warm Canadian hospitality. She made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The atmosphere was cozy and peaceful, and we especially loved Chevy, the adorable house dog who added a special touch to our visit. Would absolutely stay here again—highly recommended for anyone looking for a unique and heartwarming experience!

Es war wunderbar. Leider war die Beschreibung zwecks Badezimmer bei Hotels.com nicht richtig. Es hätte stehen müssen "Sharing bathroom". Aber Margret hatte Verständnis und hat mir ein upgrade auf das Appartement gegeben. Es wird zwar noch drumherum gebaut, aber das hat nicht weiter gestört. Ich hatte einen super Aufenthalt, ich fühlte mich wie zu Hause. Nochmals vielen Dank.
