I had low expectations of this room, after someone had posted photos of crumbling plaster etc, on the site. I was pleasantly surprised. It was clean and very good value for money. The staff where helpful and friendly and the breakfast was very nice. Good location for Pickering too. Would stay again.

Good position but couldn't stay there

Pros: No chance to do so
Cons: Needs a good clean and airing of the rooms
Room we were allocated smelt of vomit. It was also freezing cold. We were offered 2 other rooms but although they didn't smell they were cold and soulless. We felt we had no option but to find somewhere else

Convenient location to nearby attractions

Great staff, good food but limited choice at breakfast (however top quality products for cooked breakfast). Clean linen and towels. Bathroom (6) requires updating. Enjoyable stay, would use again if in area.

Dirty room though bedding clean but pillows smelled. Condensation bad despite fan in bathroom. Breakfast poor with no meusli nor fruit though cooked part OK. Overalll very disappointing.

Needs updating

Can't fault the staff for their friendliness. However the room was a little jaded and the electric shower was poor. There was a lack of water pressure and it was impossible to get the temperature to remain constant. The shower cubicle was dirty, particularly the shower hose, which had black rings of dirt trapped in it.
