This was a unique place to stay, and we rather enjoyed it. The beds were comfortable, it had good water pressure, but as advertised, no heating/AC. The portable heaters came in handy in the early morning.
This would be a lovely place to stay in May through October but there was insufficient heat for our March visit. We totally froze. For folks who need a full kitchen, this also might present some challenges - the only sink was in the bathroom and there is no stove.
The property is very unique, charming, and comfortable. We loved walking the historic neighborhood. Perhaps my favorite part was the regular chime of church bells -- very soothing.
We were attending a wedding and had to check in really early to help them get ready. The host was very understanding and welcoming. The place is sprawling. The upper floor of an old carriage house. Historic light fixtures and furniture were some of the highlights as well as a park-like outdoor space. The bed was super comfortable. All in all, we picked a nice place to stay. Just the basics mind you, but we liked it.
I stayed here to attend a Bridgerton Ball at the Senators Mansion. The place was easy to find, host responsive, clean, and absolutely adorable with its time era design/decor. I felt safe in the neighborhood. There was easy parking and entrance access. Lots of wonderful amenities. I would highly recommend!!
