Welcome to the jungle

We had our coffee in the morning with monkeys! This is a beautiful well equipped home with a view of the jungle. We had a very relaxing stay. The home is a short drive to Manuel Antonio and many restaurants and shops. The town's power goes out occasionally. The owner was there to tell us it doesn't last long and brought an extra flashlight and power brick for phones. He is putting in solar to solve the problem. The road to the house is a bit rough so drive slowly. Everything is as pictured.

Secluded but Close to Everything

The home was plenty big for 6 people. Looks like the photos. Having the balcony was great for seeing wildlife. It’s secluded enough that you feel immersed in the jungle but is still a short drive to restaurants (4 minutes) and multiple beaches (15 minutes). Bring headlamps/flashlights in case of power outages. In regards to cleanliness, the home wasn’t fully cleaned for our stay but we reached out to the house manager and they worked to resolve the issues.

Incredible Home in the Jungle-Better Than The Pictures

, Bud is fascinating, warm, and kind, and has done a heck of a job with this house! Truth be told, its a Master Class in how to run a VRBO. Upon entering the home, you'll see a console table to your right with any information about the house and town that you could imagine. It has a map of the area, restaurants, Spanish phrases, cultural information, activities, and House Rules, among other things. We referenced information on the table and in his book daily. The kitchen is equipped for cooking for a family, and for people who know how to cook. My jaw dropped when I saw the same All Clad pan that I have at home. It has everything from a potato masher to multiple types of whisks, anything you would need. My son did ask for a microplane, but I can't complain about that! All kinds of quality glassware, and dishes. Silverware that isn't a jumble of pieces that were lifted from Old Country Buffet. Bud thoughtfully leaves you a starter set of tea bags and a bi of coffee. Appliances: they are Whirlpool and well maintained, spotless, and we put them to use. It was nice to have a dishwasher. There's also a rice cooker, a toaster, microwave, blender, and outdoor grill. My favorite thing was the water machine.Great host. Great location. Impeccably clean. Comfortable. . What else do you need? We want to come back every year! I thought I loved the Caribbean side until I came to Casa de Agua. If you're on the fence about booking, I would go for it.

Wow!

This house. Wow. It’s a beautiful house, but on top of that we saw SO many animals - monkeys galore (capuchin and howler), toucans, macaws, and many other beautiful birds. Fair warning though: With the rainforest literally in your backyard, you will hear lots of animals sounds. Howler monkeys scared us to death the first night until we realized what it was. It made the stay there all the more memorable! The owner and manager were both wonderful. Communication was great. We also loved the convenient location, with Manuel Antonio and Quepos both just minutes away. If you decide to stay here you’re in for a treat. Please give yourself some time in the morning and evening to sit on the decks and just soak it all in. Casa de Agua wasn’t just where we stayed, it was a key part of our Costa Rica experience!

Beautiful Home in Gorgeous Setting

My husband, sister, neice, and I had a wonderful time at this gorgeous vacation home. Very clean with comfy beds, a big covered deck, a refreshing pool, and plenty of space. Bud was helpful and friendly, and provided clear directions and a booklet of wonderful recommendations. We saw macaws and monkeys from the deck and living room. Amazing windows with full views of the jungle. We loved everything about Casa De Agua. everything about Casa De Agua.home.

Beautiful home right in the jungle!

Perfect home for couples traveling together. The back deck and pool provided great entertainment. We saw so many monkeys, macaws, birds and an even a sloth carrying her baby while sitting on the deck! It was incredible! Bud who owns the home was so kind and offered us so many wonderful restaurant suggestions! Don’t wait! Book this home!

Perfect Stay!

This was a surprise birthday trip for one of our friends and it didn’t disappoint. The home and deck and pool were fabulous. We were able to enjoy the outside and enjoy our daily visitors - howlers and squirrel monkeys, toucans and our resident tiger heron pair and more. Bud was great! He was friendly and helpful and even gave us some great recommendations. We were very close to several restaurants and excursions. The park was wonderful and highly recommend with a guide. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Beautiful home , the windows are amazing , lots of open space, beautiful back patio with nice pool and view into the jungle. We met the owner who was very kind. The home is very clean and has easy parking . In a beautiful part of Costa Rica. Will definitely rent this home again

Great Place to Stay in Manuel Antonio

Stayed here for 2 nights with my fiancĂ© and a group of friends. We had a rental car but the property was conveniently located near town and very easy to access restaurants, as well as Manuel Antonio national park which was a short drive away. The house is very spacious and has everything you need for a stay! The pool is very nice as well. We had visits from Scarlet Macaws as well as monkeys during our short stay! The host does live below the house but it’s not an issue at all! Very friendly and if anything is close by to help with any issues that could arise.

Wildlife Galore

We stayed 5 nights at casa de agua and each day included a visit from the local fauna. Squirrel monkeys, white face capuchin monkeys, howler monkeys and scarlet macaws were all regular visitors. We even saw a sloth right near the house on our riverside walk. The house has shifted due to seismic activity so doors don’t all close easily. Otherwise, this house was a fabulous base for our excursions around Quepos. Bud was a great host !

Wonderful House & Location - TONS of wildlife

Casa de Agua is a great location for relaxing, watching wildlife, & recharging after all the fishing, hiking, beaching & other fun stuff close by. Do yourself a favor and take the short walk to Casa Lamia & Ronnie’s Place - the views of the Pacific are unbelievable. The owner is a top notch guy and was very helpful with anything we needed to ask him about. Book with confidence!

Manuel Antonio Adventure

Stayed a week at this property with friends. Bud is an awesome host and helped tremendously with recommendations for shopping, restaurants and activities. Checked in a few times to ensure we had everything we needed. Home was just as described and the location was perfect. Outside Quepos, but taxi close to almost everything. Might recommend having more towels available per room. Understood the last day that we could have requested them. Pool is excellent, albeit chilly for this time of year (Oct). Would highly recommend. Pura Vida!

Amazing house

The house is amazing and the location is great for exploring all the area has to offer. Kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals inside or on the outdoor grill. We saw many monkeys right outside the door, closer than in the national park. We also had a pair of toucans visit everyday.

The pictures do not do this place justice. Beautiful home with wildlife all around and close to everything. The owner Bud went above and beyond to make our stay the trip of a lifetime. Wish I could give it 6 stars!

Fantastic 60 th birthday

The home was fantastic. Saw 3 types of monkeys including mothers with babies, a sloth, toucans, macaws, hummingbirds, butterflies and other animals from the back deck. Some mornings I hated to leave. Location was convenient to beaches, park and restaurants. Host was very helpful. Hope we will make it back again!
