Youth Trip

This cabin is conveniently located only about 20 minutes from Many. It sits on a beautiful point of the lake. There’s easy access to a boat launch and pier. It’s very roomy and can sleep at least 18 people. There’s a great common area for gathering and plenty of seating for meals. The beds are very comfortable and had clean linens. We really enjoyed our stay. The two things that caused a lower rating were cleanliness and cooking utensils. There were spiders and spiderwebs everywhere, inside and outside of the cabin. I know that’s hard to control with lake property but it’s very unwelcoming to guests. I’ve stayed at other properties on Toledo Bend and never had this issue. The kitchen just seemed dirty. I washed any dishes, pots, pans, utensils before we used them. And it wasn’t stocked well with things you’d need to cook like spoons or spatulas or even a can opener. There’s been a lot of rain lately but the ground was dry and the grass had not been cut and was way too high. We had two issues with maintenance that didn’t really affect our trip. Overall, if there was a deep cleaning and the kitchen was well stocked, I’d stay there again.

Great cabin

Really enjoyed this place! Had a plumbing issue and the owner has someone out immediately and had the problem repaired before we got back from our fishing trip!! Plenty of comfortable beds and lots of seating in the common areas. Great view from the kitchen and living room! Would certainly rent it again!

Quick Get-A-Way

Overall the property was great and loved having the boat launch. Did not have many utensils or pots to cook with and BBQ needs to be replaced. The counter has a piece of laminate that has de-bonded which snags clothing when walking around. Would recommend replacing the Bar countertop. We we go back? Yes, absolutely Overall experience was great and would recommend this property.

Great location, maintenance needs improving

Well, we did have a great time here. The location was great. The boat launch was nice and easy to use. We had a clear view to the fireworks for the Fourth of July. The beds seem to be comfortable. The kids liked the bunk room. On the other hand this property could use more attention. The outside was covered in poision ivy, ants, and spiderwebs. I guess I expected that on the outside. The grass wasn't long, but could have been cut before we arrived. When we entered, we found more spiders and webs everywhere. You would think some of this could be taken care of with an exterminator. Some of the pots and pans were still dirty. Some of the furniture was broken or on its way to falling apart. The grill outside worked for us, but it is nearly completely rusted out. The toilet in the laundry room is somewhat unusable. All and all we overcame these shortcomings and still enjoyed ourselves. We just wish it was somewhat maintained better than we found it.

Fun trip!!

Cabin is roomy with lots of beds ! Great view ! Grass needed to be cut and lots of spiders — but sheets and towels were fresh and clean. Had all the necessities ( laundry detergent, dish soap, plenty large outdoor trash cans ).

Plenty of room, beautiful views, well stocked with essentials, convenient boat launch. Property could use some attention. Outside deck and seating area could use updating and a good cleaning. Inside of house could use deep cleaning (spider webs and trash in corners).

Very nice location and directly on the water.

Plenty of beds for us to stay in and not be on top of each other. Great location in the middle of the lake. The outdoor area was nice with plenty of chairs and tables.

Comfortable, roomy and nice location!

Property was in a really nice location with a beautiful view! We were very comfortable, my grand babies loved the bunk room. We had only one issue, no hot water in the master bath, but it has two other baths that were great, all in all we loved it and totally enjoyed ourselves.

No hot water

No hot water. Plumbers came out to no avail did not fix it. Cabinet tops were peeling, ripped our sons jacket. Fireplace did not work properly, constantly putting smoke into the room. Owner needs to step up and take care of his place. Price per night was over rated.

Amazing Family Time

Where do l begin? The views from this house were spectacular! My family and l thoroughly enjoyed our time at this home. The beds were comfy and there was plenty of room for our group which included adults, teens and children. The sunset and sunrise over the lakes were truly a sight to see. We had the opportunity to meet the owners who were especially warm and friendly. My family enjoyed our time fishing and enjoying the peacefulness of this place. I would definitely stay here again!

Great Location

We really enjoyed our stay here. The view is fantastic. The place is bigger than it looks. Check-in and out is super easy. The only complaint we had is the bugs, but I know there’s only so much that can be done to prevent that. When it rained water would leak in under the back door so maybe that’s how bugs are getting in also. Would definitely stay here again though!

enjoy the ride

It's a fish camp. The owner lives on the property and was doing repairs. The house was not clean. I had to wash down the porch with water because it was dirty and full of spiders. The view is amazing. The owner was very responsive to any needs we have. It's a work in progress. All the beds are uncomfortable and need to be changed. It was great to have a boat dock right there. The location is close to Pete's a great mexican restaurant and a bait store. Would I go back again. Yes, but the wife would differ.
