The hotel and pool areas were beautiful, and the staff from the beach bar were very friendly and welcoming.
Unfortunately, the front desk stuff was not the most helpful and had a bad, rude attitude. Starting with being in the line (for both check-in and check-out) and openly being skipped by the front desk staff and letting other customers go in front of me. Then, charging almost $6,000 mx pesos to add a person to my room for only 1 night! Finally, I still had hope for the front desk staff and the day before checking-out I asked if I could do a late checkout… their answer, almost $500 mx pesos PER HOUR!!! The hotel barely had customers (more than half of the rooms seemed to be available), so they had availability with no problem to let a customer checkout a little late. The staff said that members have more privileges, like late checkout, so if you’re not a member (like me) they treat you like they’re doing you a favor by staying with them.
At that point I gave up, and I was more than happy to checkout early and get out of the asap before they emptied my wallet!! This hotel wants to charge you for everything and anything (even though it is an “all inclusive” hotel. Total ripoff :(
There won’t be a next time in this hotel.
P.S. the food was OK, not impressed.
