Our stay at the Beach House was amazing! The house is small but utilizes it's space very well. It is comfy, cozy, and has everything you need for a family vacation.
We cooked every night, swam everyday, and played played one of the multiple
Nice home on the lake, all as advertised.
This house is clearly used by the family who owns it when not used by rentersâŠso items are understandably not brand new, but a bit used and worn. We were able to make everything work!
Host were amazing and the place was fabulous! The family got together from across the country and had a great time. The lake is stunning and they provide toys so that you can play in the water. The only possible downside for some could be that it just has one bathroom however there were six adults and baby and we had no issues. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a lake retreat in the area!
Great lake house vacation spot for a small family. The use of the kayaks, paddleboards, and the offshore platform really made the home a great spot for a summer getaway with kids. Leah and Jeff were easy to communicate with and we would definitely stay again.
My family all had a wonderful time staying here on the lake. The owners were very responsive and a huge help to us with anything we requested. We would definitely stay again in the future.
The Beach House is close the cities but still has an "up north" feel. The cabin is smaller (no kitchen table - just beware if it rains) but the decor inside is very well done. Cabin was very clean aside from the shower, although I suspect this is from the hard well water. We enjoyed the multiple levels/options to spend time outdoors. We appreciated the water toys that were available. The swimming area beach was weedier than we anticipated so our kids didn't spend as much time in the water as they wanted, but we enjoyed the small sandy beach and bonfires on the patio!
Wonderful place close to the cities. Lake life with tons of extra things (black stone grill and water toys). Even had neighbors who offered to take our kids fishing. Lots of stairs to get to water, but worth it.
Wonderful stay for anyone looking for a getaway.
Our family of 5 enjoyed our time at The Beach House. The lake had everything we wanted. We were able to catch different types of fish off the dock and the raft. The paddle boards, kayak, water carpet and raft got a ton of use. The adults enjoyed the shaded deck by the lake where we were able to keep an eye on the kids while relaxing. The only con to the outdoor space was the number of stairs (35ish) between the lake and the cabin. The first night I made at multiple trips back and forth getting things but was smarter the next day and loaded everything we could need up in a big bag. Then we only had to trek back up to the cabin to use the bathroom and eat meals. Just something to be aware of if you have tiny kiddos. Our 4 year old did fine as long as he wasn't carrying anything.
We used the table on the deck for all of our lunches and dinners with ease. There were multiple trays and large cutting boards available to carry things in and out. Nightly fires with smores were a great little treat before bed.
The cabin itself was a bit smaller than expected but still worked well for our family of 5. We do wish there would have been bathroom washcloths and a throw blanket or two in the living room would have been great. We were surprised to find the beds unmade upon arrival. They all had clean bedding folded neatly on each bed but we were not prepared to run around making beds when we got there.
As expected with a cabin in a wooded area on a lake, there were lots of bugs both inside and out. Not a big deal for the most part but something to be mindful of if you have a fear of spiders. We saw loons and a ton of chipmunks that would come right up on the deck. We had fun making up names for them and watching them scurry around.
The Beach House was exactly what our family needed to get away for a few days before going back to school. We would recommend this space to anyone looking to spend time outside on the lake. We will likely be back at some point in the future.
We had a great stay at the beach house. The house was well stocked with everything we needed and more! We enjoyed using all the beach toys especially the lily pad, paddle boards and kayaks. The boys caught so many sunnies and bass off the dock. Evenings were always ended with a bonfire! A couple days were raining but we checked out the Monticello Community Center. We highly recommend a day pass as there is plenty to do for kids! Check in and out was seamless thanks to the hosts. We will definitely look at staying again.
Great place close to the Twin Cities for a family weekend get away! One of our days was cloudy, cool weather but enjoyed the brewery in Annandale and the bakery in Maple Lake...don't let gluten free scare you away...yum! Fires by the lake each night were amazing. Our daughter even caught a large mouth bass...casting off the dock toward the swim platform! Enjoyed having access to the water toys and the blackstone outdoor griddle was great for cooking all our meals.
It was amazing. They made our stay a wonderful experience. They thought about all my needs. From all the beach and water toys all we would need (standup paddle board to Lily pads to sun bathing docks )
Many places to sit outside. Inside wonderful beds games everything thing you need in the kitchen paper towels dish soap. Condomments sugar salt oils ketchup mustard coffee was all Included. Bathroom had shampoo and body soap. They also had a sâmore station with these cute little square marshmallows they thought of everything. I would Definitely come back again.
Was a wonderful vacation, love the view and water activities and outdoor area!! Indoor only things whatsoever, was I killed a lot of bugs/spiders inside and I wish I'd have known no table inside/lots outside though!! There was only 4 bath towels, but we had plenty of towels with, so no biggie. Now that's pretty amazing for only issues whatsoever!! Loved our time there!! Now, the owners just need to buy out a neighbor's house, so we can have an even bigger family gathering there!! :)
Great location just west of the metro, with plenty to do on and in the water!
A great, quiet property just outside the west metro. Many different activities and options on the water, which was weed-free and shallow enough for the little kids. Our hosts were very responsive when we needed some immediate help, which made our stay a success. Overall a great stay and property.
Really enjoyed the lake and the fun toys! Favorites were ping-pong, swimming, and relaxing on the many outdoor gathering areas. Also, the cute coffee shop in Maple Lake is a must!
Our family had a 5 day stay at the beach house and had an amazing time! The outdoors spaces and water toys gave you everything you could want and then some! Beautiful cozy cabin was a great space for our family of 4 with room for more. We enjoyed paddle boards and boat, water carpet, swimming, and catching endless fish morning and evening off the dock. Perfect entertainment for the kids after a long day of swimming! Dining on the patio under the canopy of the trees and breakfast on the Blackstone made meals effortless and cleanup easy. Clean comfortable property with all you need and want! Would highly recommend and stay again!
This was the perfect area for what we wanted to do! We didnât want to spend hours on the road getting somewhere. We wanted some sun and fun on the water! There was a number of water toys for us to use which was nice cause we didnât have to drag things along other than some floatyâs. Meal prep was great having the Blackstone, especially since we had a few people that knew how to use it! Sleeping accommodations were also great! We were very comfortable. I was saying to my daughter that we may have to look at doing a vacation here for our entire, little, family!
