We absolutely loved this resort. It is new, very clean and spacious. Our juniors suite had 2 balconies, ocean view and a separate walk in closet ( I can't` recall having it anywhere else before and it was great to place our luggages). The design and decoration are very tasteful and elegant but not overwhelming or crowded. The buffet breakfast was plenty and a great variety, we did not feel adding anything extra from the menu, but it was available. We went in early October, so did not swim in the ocean but enjoyed the pools. Staff was very helpful and kind. We found it as a great starting point for making day trips around, sad we could not stay longer.

New favourite place to stay

Second time in two months, this hotel has everything and top notch high level service. It’s a luxury hotel on the beach that runs for miles in both directions. The beach club is great for sunbathing and lounging with a restaurant that provides some good food too.

I stayed at Gran Marbella for part of my first solo trip. I would give this hotel 6 stars if I could! The hospitality of the staff was exceptional to the very end of my stay. Here's and example: The morning I checked out, I decided to grab breakfast at the hotel before driving to Portugal. I left my bags at the desk while I got breakfast and planned to get my car afterwards and head out. When I came back from breakfast, the valet had the car waiting for me out front with bags already loaded and a cold ice water in the console for my drive. He was GREAT the entire visit. They anticipate your needs and you could not ask for a better experience, especially when you are the one who is usually caring for everyone else! I am recommending Gran Marbella Resort and Beach Club to all of my family and friends and plan to make this a regular getaway for myself!

The facilities, pools, lounge areas, breakfast area and beach club are excellent! But the king room was ver small cramped and smelled of mold. Smell improved when AC was on but housekeeping kept turning down the AC. Service also could be improved.

Mixed feelings on our stay at this property. Ultimately we would stay here again and would not recommend it to anyone visiting Marbella. Pros: - the room we stayed in had been recently updated and was generally aesthetically attractive - some of the staff we encountered were very friendly. The porters and staff at beach bar were consistently helpful, efficient and welcoming. - the beach bar/restaurant is excellent. It was recently opened and met our expectations for what we were looking for on a family vacation at a 5-star beach property. The food there was excellent. - the pools at the property are large and clean. They were not busy during our stay. Cons: - The hotel is surrounded by ongoing building work on two sides. The major work was at the back of the hotel and thankfully didn’t disturb us. The work at the front of the hotel was not active during our stay but at some point will be massively disruptive to hotel guests as is right next to the pools and the restaurant/bar area. - the area and location of the hotel was not attractive. The hotel is not on the beach and has rows of smaller homes between the hotel and the beach. There is nothing else within walking distance. The hotel is far from Marbella itself - Uber fares were $75 equivalent when we looked, although taxis were cheaper. - we were put off by the active security guards patrolling. Multiple signs of alarm systems - is crime a risk here? - Service was not consistently good / 5 star from all staff

Best hotel at best location

Amazing newly refurbished hotel, 15min from Marbella but being close to long sandy beach makes up for this. And they just opened their beach club which was perfect to be at a pool and be able to run into the sea too. The staff were amazing and helpful. The rooms are great. Just top notch quality.
