Great stay, as always. Building is showing its age, but staying here is so convenient, I'm okay overlooking the small things. What's great about a smaller place like this is if your plans change - its easier to add or subtract days from your stay without stupid charges. Staff was great, and when my credit card did not show me leaving a day early - one phone call and it was taken care of. I will continue to stay at the Lafayette - at least until I see a ghost - and yes - I look for them!

Great location right on the river and on the main shopping district in downtown Marietta. Very walkable. Friendly staff and nice room. Hadn't stayed there in 20 years but would definitely return

Place ooozes with history n nostalgia. Historical gem! Rooms need work. We rented one of the better rooms, but it needs TLC. I live in an old house, so I’m used to it, but there are basic maintenance items to stay appealing. Don’t remodel it, but keep things clean and repaired.

It was a unique stay. The property was great with gorgeous finishes. Some say the property is haunted. I did not find any proof of this. The staff at the property were friendly and very helpful. Particularly the front desk. I had to leave early but because of the staff would definitely return when back in the area.

This was our first time staying at the hotel,we had trouble getting into the room,I had to go down stairs and have our room keys reactiviated,then our room was so cold like walking into a walk in freezer.I called the front desk and the girl on duty told me how to work the heater in our room. It finally warmed up after about an hour ,then the next morning I got up to go get my husband and myself breakfast couldn't get the deadbolt unlocked to get out of the room.It took my husband turning using both hands to finally get it to unlock.I was like are we locked in from the inside.lol. The bed was hard neither one of us slept good,if it hadn't been that we were from out of town I would've have left in the middle of the night. We were in room 511. The hotel itself was very clean and the front desk worker was very nice,breakfast was good.
