Rough start but appreciate the staff
Got there and checked in only to get off to a rough start. Got our room and instantly we noticed a funky smell to the room but didnโt no if to complain or not for the lodge looked old. But then we had issue with the TV and the front desk Teresa came over to try to fix. Upon entry she noticed the smell and said if we have any pets. I said no we did not so she was confused why they placed us into a pet friendly room. I said it would be ok but she said absolutely not and that we didnโt have pets so no reason to be in that room and it had a weird musty smell so she instantly changed our room and was so gracious and helpful. The room was nice to do our basic needs as we head to Yosemite and back but she made it so much better and I appreciated her. She made my rating go from okay to good. Working currently with hotels.com for the pricing difference was a lot as when I checked out they showed me the final cost and way cheaper than what hotels.com charged (over $100 difference) Will update once I hear back from hotels.com on why pricing discrepancy and if they will adjust or not.
