The hotel is an old one. It has been remodeled and is very clean but there are no "frills". The pillows were nice but the comfort of the beds was a 6/10. It got the job done but we didn't spend extra time in the room.

Decent, not fancy.

This was an older American Inn, etc. that has gone independent. Everything worked, rooms were fairly clean, but has that " older hotel" smell to the room we stayed in. Breakfast was decent, scrambled eggs, sausage, waffle machine, yogurts, etc.

Clean, comfortable hotel

The hotel was clean, rooms and beds were comfortable, staff was friendly. Breakfast was adequate; but the fresh fruit they provided were apples that were not so fresh - I bit into one and it was bad. Had to throw it out. No pool, just a large jacuzzi & sauna. Still, it was a decent hotel.

My husband and I spent two nights in the one bedroom suite, which we loved. We arrived early and they were very accommodating and got our room cleaned as soon as they could. We used the laundry facilities which we desperately needed. Everything was in working order and clean. The included breakfast was ok.

Comfy rooms, friendly staff, good breakfast.

After getting off my Pictured Rocks thru hike earlier than anticipated, they allowed me to check in early which was greatly appreciate! The recliner was a nice surprise and very comfortable to relax on after a long hike. Bed was solid 4 stars out of 5. Only nitpick was the AC didn't have a mode to enable the fan to stay on AND the AC to kick in. I like a constant white noise but needed the AC to work. Breakfast was one of the better ones I've had at a value priced hotel. Overall, I enjoyed my one night stay and would come back.

UP bucket list trip

Stayed here one night and intended to stay another but was sold out the second night we needed so stayed up the road in another equally satisfying hotel we found on Hotels.com. This area is convenient to Picture Rock cruise and our day trip to Marquette. Would stay againl

The staff was nice. The hotel was very clean. They did have some hot breakfast which included biscuits, gravy, eggs, toast, waffles, fruits, bagels, and a few other things. The price for the night very reasonable. The only downfall was the beds are a little on the hard side they would be a lot better if they had some type of toppers on them but over all very great place to stay. I definitely recommend staying there as I will be back in the near future.
