We just loved our stay here. It was a perfect place for what we needed. My young niece loved the mini horses and it was cool having chickens come visit us on the deck. Kelsey was so nice and accommodating when I got stuck at the airport for 14+ hours and couldnât get there until the next day. Highly recommended if yiu love country living.
Kelsey and Ryan's farm house rental was a great place to stay at and close to multiple hiking and biking trails. It was fun to watch the chickens wander around the property. Unfortunately I never found any 'fresh from the factory' eggs. With Kelsey's approval, the miniature horse got some apples and carrots which they really seemed to enjoyed. Never spotted the barn cats which as a cat lover was a disappointing. The kitchen was equipped with what I needed to cook all of my meals. The outdoor grill worked well for grilling my steak.
If my travels bring me back to the Marshall area, will definitely stay here again if the first floor is available
My wife and I were traveling from Detroit to Salt Lake City and stumbled upon the quaint beauty in Michigan! Had a fantastic experience! Loved waking up to green pastures, mini horses and chickens. Owners weâre extremely nice while making the reservation and answering questions. Home has been reimagined with perfect design touches to make this farmhouse experience very memorable! We will stay here again!
Was a different kind of rental. It is the lower story of a farm house that is quite charming. There is a huge barn on the property with mini horses and chickens running about. We even saw a cat skulking about as well. Plenty of space inside as well as outside. It is an old house so it's not perfect, but that is part of the charm. The owner has done a good job of updates here and there. As others have said, could really use so.e sort of window treatments on the front window and main entry door. Beds are pretty stiff, but I was tired each night and did not really prevent me from sleeping. Location is only about 8 -10 minutes from downtown. Overall good place to stay.
The only thing that we could recommend is that are two closet areas and a dresser in the smaller bedroom that sleeps 2 but no dresser nor no closets in the larger room sleeping 4. A further recommendation would be to add either etched windows or blinds along the street facing front room as it feels very exposed particularly when youâre walking frim your bedroom to use the toilet. I felt very exposed.
