We came to Matlock with the kids and grandkids from Canada, to show them their roots! The house was just perfect. A perfect spot for family and friends to visit, and we were within walking distance of shops, pubs, and a park. Daniel was very quick to answer any questions we had. We had an amazing time, and it was hard to leave!

Great house in a great location

Stayed here with a group of friends. Communication prior to arrival was excellent. House was lovely and exactly what we wanted. Lovely big kitchen table for us to sit round and nice garden area to enjoy the spring sunshine. Location is excellent very close to all the amenities of Matlock but also in a quiet location. Fabulous walks available right on the doorstep. Would definitely stay again

Wonderful Weekend Stay

We loved the house for it's space and location. It's really well equipped with very comfortable beds. Plenty of room for three families with teenagers. The games room and hot tub were thoroughly enjoyed! Huge kitchen to socialise and cook easily in. Cosy lounge for chilling out. Lovely to have dog bed, bowls, treats etc provided. We enjoyed being able to stroll around Matlock. It was perfect, and we hope to return!

A pure slice of heaven

Three generations (a group of 11) came to Matlock seeking a wonderful family Christmas after some health issues that had rocked us to the core. The house and its wonderful location provided the perfect place for us to recalibrate, restore and renew. We loved playing Fussball and pool in the games room, delighted at a glass of bubbles in the spa, reminisced over long and lazy breakfasts, and feasted each evening is the superbly equipped kitchen. On the rare occasion we left the house, we enjoyed country walks with superb scenery and explored the charming antique and curiosity shops nearby. We loved every minute and feel ready to embrace the next chapter, whatever it bring. Thank you to Dan and team.

Great group property - very clean and all the necessities to be able to arrive and enjoy your stay

Very clean, tidy and with a lot of usual additions like travel cots, highchairs, hot tub towels, pans, plates etc. We booked the house to celebrate my parent's 60th birthday and there were a range of ages and the house fitted us all perfectly. Matlock is a lovely little town with lots of great places to eat and drink at.

40th birthday weekend

Property was well maintained and equipped. Spotlessly clean and smelled freshly painted and newly renovated, brilliant location - 5 minutes walk to Matlock centre. Each room has it's own ensuite bathroom and game rooms was good for the young children, the hot tub was big enough for about 7 people but we managed to squeeze 2 kids as well!. The only minor criticism is that we were only supplied with 1 toilet roll per room (for 2 nights) and only 2 dishwasher tablets were left but other then that it was a beautiful Victorian house and a brilliant stay

Fantastic property in a lovely location. Host responded to queries quickly and the house itself was large enough to have our own space, yet Social spaces for family time. Kids (and grandpa!) loved the games room, which helped on the rainy evenings which was well stocked with plenty of board games as well as pool table and fussball. A dart board would finish it off! Overall, a great property and we would definitely return.
