The Toasted Marshmallow is a perfect staycation/vacation cottage, welcoming guests to stay on a 68 acre tree farm with 6 Nigerian dwarf goats, 5 sheep & three chubby dogs.

The farm was recently quoted by Vinton Soil Water Conservation as a wildlife mecca, perfect for anyone looking to reconnect with nature & relax. Various species of birds, hawks, owls, deer, wild turkeys, geese & occasional bobcat may be spotted.

By booking a stay, you are agreeing to make a donation to The Toasted Marshmallow Trust.
During your stay at this cottage, you'll be close to Lake Hope State Park. Features include 1 hot tub. The cottage includes amenities such as free WiFi and a kitchen.

Highly recommend! Beautiful cabin. Quiet and peaceful. Greeted by a friendly dog to check us in upon arrival, and by a cute little kitty to check us out as we were leaving. We were also visited by some cows and a horse and took a few moments to say hi to the baby goats before we left. We would have liked to stay longer but were only passing through and needed a one night stay prior to an early morning event the next day. If we have occasion to return to the general area, we will 100% book again and definitely stay a few days next time.

After arriving at the property we were very surprised by the condition it was in, especially from the outside.The outside of the property was dirty (see picture)The hot tub water was mirky / not cleanThere were a lot of bees always by the lights of the front doorThe inside was clean for the most part. Our stay at the toasted marshmallow was wonderful! The goats were so cute and the three dogs were super friendly and excellent tour guides The hot tub was an excellent addition that was fantastic to slip into at night and look at the stars from.The fireplaces inside also made it extra cozy and welcoming.We only stayed for a night this time but we definitely plan on coming back for a longer stay in the spring!

Loved the remote location near the state parks. Nice long gravel drive out front, super quiet area. We loved having fhe dogs and other farm animals around. Firepit was nice, hottub worked great. Heat/AC both run very well inside. This space was the perfect size for the 2 of us and we will be back on our next trip to Hocking Hills.

We had a lovely time here! It was a great little getaway. The farm is beautiful, and it was so much fun to visit with and see all the animals! The goats and sheep are so cute and friendly- but the doggies really made our stay special!! The cabin was perfect for a couples vacation. The host was also very kind and communicative. I would definitely stay here again next time we visit the Hocking Hills area. :)
