Stay was great, we enjoyed the hot tub and game room, the theater room was cool as well. Minutes away from slopes which was nice. What did catch us by surprise was the house next to us, which from photos i didnt notice there was another cabin but it was very close to us, also shared parking with us as well and the people visiting the other cabin parked all their cars in front of our cabin area and garage area. A heads-up about the shared parking area wouldve been nice it was strange coming back from slopes and seeing multiple cars in front of our cabin. Which they did end up getting stuck since 2 of their cars didnt have AWD and they blocked the only lane out on the driveway for hours, luckily it was during times we had already been done skiing and we're resting at the cabin for the rest of the day so it didnt bother us. So having AWD is necessary. Also having no dishwasher and having to hand wash all dishes each day was a little bothersome but other than that we had no issues and enjoyed our stay.
We were so pleased with this property for our getaway to Deep Creek. We picked it based on the game room and theater, knowing our kids would really enjoy that part of it. But the pond outside was an added bonus! The kids loved fishing in it from sun up to sun down. It's conveniently located to several attractions, restaurants, and shopping areas. A quick drive away from Swallow Falls and Garrett County State Park, with fantastic hiking options. The house has some wear, but it was nothing that impacted our stay. I didn't pay attention to the fact that there was no dishwasher - so go into it knowing you'll have to hand wash dishes! The hot tub was a hit, along with the fire pit for s'mores. We played endless games of pool and air hockey, and the kids enjoyed hooking up the Xbox to the giant TV in the theater room. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. And the host was easy to communicate with and provided a lot of recommendations for areas to explore.Note that if you're going in this off-season time (after winter and before summer), many attractions are not open every day. We went from a Sun-Wed, so we didn't get to do the mountain coaster or ski lifts at Wisp or Fun Zone. Fun Land was open on Sun only but closed earlier than the website indicated. We still got a quick game of mini golf in. Just do your research based on when you're going, so you know what you'll be able to do!
Our family really enjoyed Michaelâs house - it was even bigger than depicted and had all the amenities we needed for a ski weekend at Wisp. The house is conveniently located across the street from one of the ski lifts; it was nice not to have to drive to the main lot. Everything was cozy and as described. Highly recommend this property!
This was a lovely home nestled in the woods near Wisp Ski resort. The bedrooms were a good size and so too were the bathrooms. Everything was spotless! The in home theater was a fun place to relax. The hot tub was delightful. We enjoyed the local restaurants near by. The perfect place for a get away. The owners were quick to respond to emails and provided good recommendations for what to do in the area and restaurants to check out.
