We LOVED our stay here. We came over to the coast for one night to partake in the local turtle nesting research guided experience and needed a convenient place to stay. Little did we know that this gem will now be a place we come back to time and time again. The room was perfectly appointed with a king bed, separate bedroom, pull out couch for our friend who came along, a lovely bathroom, and tons of space — but the best part were the views. The website we used said partial ocean view but any spot in this place is perfect with amazing views. The AC cranked out cool air, the fridge and microwave were perfect, and they had a Keurig coffeemaker so we could bring our own flavored pods. The pool was lovely, and the staff was so kind, accommodating and laid back and welcoming. After we experienced the turtle nesting, we came back to find at least 5 more turtle mamas nesting — and we could stand way back quietly on the hotel deck and observe them in the moonlight. And to top it off there was a rocket launch the night of our stay and we could see it perfectly. A night we will never forget. Definitely STAY HERE! Oh and we got to bring our little senior dogs — a must have for us.

Great location on the beach. Friendly staff and amenities for the beach. Room was very clean. Access to the beach was amazing. Beach was secluded so not too many people in our area. We were fortunate to see a turtle laying eggs during our stay.

This hotel is located within the Archie Carr Turtle reserve and we were fortunate enough to witness baby turtles hatching and making their journey back to the sea which took place right outside of our balcony. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Loved our stay and will return many more times

Beautiful Beach Stay

Great stay at the resort. We were able to check in a few hours early to a nice room on the ocean. The room was clean and comfortable. Staff were nice. We were able to see sea turtles nesting in the morning as we watched the sun rise.

This was the best beachfront hotel we've ever stayed at! The proximity to the beach, the quiet area (very few people), and the staff were amazing! We flew in and didn't have beach chairs or supplies, but that wasn't a problem! The pool was heated, and the staff were incredible! The resort had chairs & umbrellas for use, and the tenants leave beach toys and boogie boards for others to enjoy! There were a lot of little, unique seashells, but not a lot of big ones. There is a shelf where shells collect that can be accessed at low tide. We'll definitely be going back. Room 101 on the first floor is the best room with the best view and most privacy!
Most shells were about a 15 minute walk south of the resort.

I was so impressed with how clean and updated everything was. The bed and sheets were fantastic and the furnature was so clean. I have never seen a beach hotel be as clean as this was. The lady at the front desk- Stephanie was awesome, she let us check in super early and go down to the beach. It made a one night stay feel like a whole weekend.

A hidden gem in Melbourne.

Melbourne Beach Resort & Surf club is a hidden gem with private beach access and modern/updated rooms. Amy was super helpful in checking us in early; lent us a bottle opener & wine corkscrew we forgot to bring. About the only quibble I have is that the mattresses were a bit "springy". It was adequate and on par with other hotels. Otherwise, we were very pleased with our stay. Will definitely be looking to come back.

Manger and her kid walks by your room every 5 mins til dark. Rules after rules more then my own mother. Didn’t want to stay another night. Wouldn’t give refund for 2st night. Said I was smoking iv never smoked a day in my life. It’s just a loophole for them to keep your money. defamation of character Lawsuit against them about to happen.
That was the start of rules. Be prepared to not laugh smile or have fun. Or the manager will come and try and kick you out
