Do not stay here!! On arrival many unsavoury characters hanging outside the building, felt quite unsafe. Once inside the reception (looks nothing like the photos) it looked like the back of a rental truck, with a random persons earthly potions strewn across the reaction area. Once we got our keys we proceeded to go up the elevator to where a German Shepard dog came running out and almost bowled us over. Whilst walking to our apartment we notice the next door neighbours had some strange “massage” parlour set up. Once inside our room it was absolutely filthy, shower disgusting, and beds rock hard. My daughter had to sleep on the chase of the couch which was harder than a rock. For the price I expected better.

Check in process was easy, staff were kind and welcoming. Had an issue with our allocated parking space being taken, but it was quickly and painlessly rectified. We could tell the room had recently been cleaned, however it was grimy all over. Marks and stains on most surfaces, looked like spit marks on the walls. All along the walls the floor was dirty. We didn’t need to use the kitchen facilities, but we were happy we didn’t as most of the utensils weren’t clean. The bedroom got so hot at night, despite it not being a hot night, and unfortunately there is only AC in the living room/kitchenette area. Also, we booked a room with a king bed and got a queen. One saving grace was the shower. Best hotel shower I’ve experienced, great pressure and temperature control. Location was great, close to everything we wanted to go to, and there was a great view from the Balcony.

Location was great. It was good for one night. I didn’t realise it was a self service apartment, in which you have to take your rubbish to the bin which is located in a seperate room on the floor. The recycling room was on the ground floor.

I booked Aura on Flinders very last minute just by random selection and I am very glad I did! I drove to the apartment from outside the city and because of the location, it was very easy to get in and out of the city. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to the 3-bedroom penthouse and it was amazing. Very well appointed with everything we needed. Incredible views over the city and South Bank. Within walking distance to IGAs, bottle shop, a great cafe and the Crown Casino. Most of the staff were very friendly. I would highly recommend and look forward to staying here again.

We were on the 6 floor. The whole floor stunk of strong Marijuana the whole time and our room also at times over the 5 days we stayed . I went to reception about the smell and they said it’s not their business what people do in the room. Annoyed me as I had my daughter with me and at last minute i couldn’t afford to book somewhere else . I travel a lot and have never come across a place like this.

It was clean and looked good on the surface, but after actually living in the apartment for 1 night a few issues. The sofa old and uncomfortable. The bed was low for me. Very thin blanket but it was warm enough in the room for me but my son in the other room was cold. The humidifier in the bathroom a constant wining noise. The kettle was the cheap kind that was ok but it leaks when trying to pure a cup. The dishwasher we were asked to use inside half broken so not very usable. The local was good. The staff was fine. No time to look at the gym plus we were not told where it was. Internet actually worked which was nice.

The view from the apartment was spectacular, we could see the lights of the MCG and the flames going off by crown. Although our balcony was tiny, sitting on the lounge suite was perfect to watch the city at night. The lift to get into the parking spot was a bit tricky, you need to line up your car perfectly straight, but once in, we felt that our car was super secure overnight. The gym was great for my son to workout. Overall, a pleasant stay and we'd stay there again. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Well done Aura!
