Spacious room excellant location,comfortable bed nice sheets and towels. We stayed six nights,no clean towels or sheets.. the rubbish was not emptied,there was a mouldy takeaway container in the bedside drawer. We asked onthe fifth day for tea bags and toilet paper none came had to buy our own,one tea bag for the week. Insufficient toiletries for a six day stay

Great for a night stay, very central. Shower was aged but worked ok. Toilet clean. We could smell cigarette smoke most of the night. Even though there was a sign on the room door saying, Smoking is not allowed.

Location was the best thing about this Motel. Glad I wasnt staying there in summer, air conditioner looked about 50 years old and barely worked.

Budget Hotel in the heart of Melbourne. No fuss check-in and check-out. Old style building and rooms. Good bed and bathroom. Very quiet even though it is right on the main street. No regrets.

Great location in the heart of the city. Great public transport if required. I found the room to be quite drab, a little dirty in that there were marks on the walls which I'm sure would have cleaned off easily. Air conditioner didn't work very well and the room was very warm. Having said that, it was value for money in that it was a cheap cost per night.

Just DON’T stay there…

This place was a filthy dive! Hotels.com pictures were far better than the actual room condition. It had dirt, grime, urine, boogers, mould, slime and dust everywhere, plus many other things from previous guests festering under the bed. Dust was carpeted in piles on the walls, carpets and air con filter, and we got respiratory issues soon after arriving. We did not risk turning on A/C after seeing mould inside. TV asked to be scanned for channels and still did not work, and was last test-tagged on 15/1/14. It was the only appliance even tagged! Fire sprinkler in roof looked to be damaged/inoperable and fire escape exit was closed to foot traffic…the place was a death trap. Whoever last audited them for safety and compliance was either incompetent and/or corrupt. This property should not be advertised on this website.

Apart from the mouldy bathroom and rotting bathroom door frame, communication with the venue was non-existent. No emails or phone calls were returned. The booking confirmation said reception was open from 8am, but when it finally opened at 9am there was a small notice with the changed times. Very difficult to see from 10 meters behind a locked door. Great location, venue should be much better.

Rooms could do with a freshen up but for price and convenience it's brilliant, right in the middle of the City. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again, but if you're after something "fancy", maybe it isn't for you.
