The room was of a high standard considering the reasonable nightly rate. Bathroom appeared to be recently renovated, room was of a good size and in good condition.

Terrible! Half-way house and was woken at 3am with one of the other ‘permanent’ guests destroying his room with a microwave. So bad that I had to book alternate accommodation for the second night.

Did The Job

We were visiting friends in the area before heading to Yarra Valley for a wedding. Room was spacious comfortable and clean. Not walking distance to anything but we had a vehicle, so could head to a nearby shopping centre for food. We also found a cute museum to visit. The neighbours were my worry. We heard them fighting twice. Another neighbour had loud dogs. I think these people live in the motel. The fighting and noise made us feel unsafe. We booked two nights but only stayed the one. Might have been our luck of the draw with the noisy neighbours, however we won't be back. A shame really as the rooms are pretty decent and a very good price.

This is the second time my partner and I have stayed at Econo Lodge in Lilydale and it was our last. The room itself is great. The bed was very uncomfortable...yet the noise was the major problem this time around. The guests a few door away from us were extremely loud, music blaring in the late afternoon, early evening as some of these individuals sat out the front of their room. Kids ran up and down in front of the rooms and along the balcony walk way above our room, waking us both late in the evening and again early hrs of the next morning...if it wasn't kids in the early hrs of the next morning, it was extremely heavy footed guests going to their rooms on the above floor. The guests a few doors down with their music loud enough I could hear it over the tv at one stage, which wasn't turned up too loud, yet these guests had no consideration to anyone else that was staying at the accommodation...each to their own I guess, but very inconsiderate and annoying when you are hoping after a huge day of driving to be able to kick back and relax in your accommodation...this time was not the case.

Easy check in, super clean, not that motel smell you usually get, not stuffy. Aircon was welcome. Lots of surface space. Great bathroom. Only rated the staff 4/5 because it was just transactional. Not bad service, just no smile, convo ect. We love great customer service/experiences and this lacked that.

Great place for a stop over. Comfortable, clean and tidy. It would benefit from laundry facilities, so we drove into Lilydale to the laundrette.

Stayed here once. It was an ok stay. The bathroom was a little on the dirty side...we were lucky to get a discount on our stay for organising at the last minute...so we got what we paid for...room was otherwise fine and we ended up having a decent nights sleep...which is always a bonus.
