As Gold members of Hotels.com and part of Iberostar’s The Club, we expected at least a basic level of attention. We had requested early check-in for a one-night stay... not only was this ignored, but no one acknowledged the request during check-in.
The front desk staff lacked empathy and professionalism. Instead of assisting guests, they were seen chatting and replying to voice notes on their phones.
Our room showed clear signs of wear: rusty trash can, chipped wood, and questionable cleanliness. For a supposedly 4-star hotel, maintenance was subpar.
We also had another reservation for two more nights the following week, but were told they do not offer luggage storage... a basic and essential service, especially for returning guests.
Needless to say, we canceled the upcoming stay and will not be returning. Very disappointing experience.
