My 7-year-old granddaughter and I had a very nice stay in this clean, well-appointed Vrbo! It was decorated really cute and had coffee pods, ole Ty of toilet paper, toiletries and paper towels. The beds were comfy as well as the bedding. Such close proximity to everything we planned to do, including New Buffalo, MI. The host was very communicative, making sure our stay was going well. It was my second time staying here and I will be back!
The location was perfect. The beds were extremely comfortable and we slept well. The host was also very communicative and responsive. Overall enjoyed the stay!
We only spent two nights at the apartment but it was an excellent time. Everything was very clean and there was plenty of toilet paper and paper towels available. Location is great, across the street from the outlet mall and very close to Washington Park beach.
All in all, it was a good rental for us. The location was convenient. It served our needs and the host was very responsive. One suggestion would be that the unit could use a thorough cleaning.
Perfect for walking to food, shopping, beach, farmers market! Beds were comfy. Thing to be aware of: no vent or fan in the main bedroom, and musty smell lingers. Cleanliness level is what we would call "casual".
Overall great location and property. Tried calling and emailing as had a couple simple questions before check in and got into town early but never got response. Wanted to get in early if possible as traveling with 2 small children but didnt get a response. Door code just worked at the allotted time which was okay but frustrating that got no response. Not enough paper supplies for just a 4 day stay there and had to buy large more than wanted from local store.
Setting up television with some sort of network or local TV would have been nice- traveling with small children so was not going out at night to watch something at a bar. It was a smart TV but only set up with a few apps. just a small antenna would have worked. Had this info been provided, I could have brought an antenna or roku/.
Comfortable beds and a well supplied kitchen made our stay quite comfortable. The area was a little off, but walkable to downtown and shopping. The property could use some maintenance.
Overall we loved our stay. We were walking distance from local restaurants, Barker Mansion, and the outlet mall. We really enjoyed walking up to the coffee shop in the mornings, and the local farmers market on Saturday. It is pet friendly so our family dog was able to come. The kitchen was stocked with all of the essentials, and the beds are very comfortable. The only thing is I wouldn't consider the beach to be walking distance, but its not even a 10 minute drive. We were very happy with our stay and have already booked our next stay for July of 2025.
We wanted to do some outlet shopping. This lovely old house is right across the street from the mall. It was very clean and well furnished. The beds were comfy and the neighborhood was quiet. We had a lovely weekend.
smartly decorated, comfortable and quiet home in a great location. we were able to walk to the beach, restaurants, breweries and of course shopping. Michigan City is a nice little town to visit and this place suited our needs perfectly.
I am struggling with this review because the house is lovely with 4 apartments. We stayed in Apt. 1 and it was 2 bedrooms and we had 5 people in the unit. I would not recommend 6 people to stay in this unit, it is very small and the kitchen table only fits 4 people. The pictures and description are accurate, but I would not say that it is within walking distance of the beach. Also, the area is a little sketchy and we did not feel safe walking anywhere. It is downtown close to restaurants, shops and the outlet mall is right across the street. The grass and landscape needed attention and there was only one garbage can outside for all four units and it was located in the alley and hadn't been emptied the 4 days we were there. The king bed was amazingly comfortable! The host was very kind and answered all of our questions.
Very nice apartment for our family. Right across the street from several outlets for shopping. Lots of good food and places near by. Owner contacted us by email to make sure we had everything we needed. Would definitely stay here again if going back to Michigan City.
This property is located next to many excellent restaurants in the area and just a short drive to the national park which was the reason for our visit. For two couples it was great for two days. The area was a little busy during the day but very quiet at night. The King master bed was very soft and the twin beds were firm. There were plenty of supplies in the kitchen and plenty of bath towels. Loved the extras of having some toiletries available. Loved the book that the hosts prepared, very informative. Would love to have some local channels on the TV but this seems to be a problem in most rentals we stay in. Overall would recommend this place.
