Great location and well kept if not a little dated

Good Choice at breakfast, paid for half board !! As like most hotels in Spain the food is served look warm and you have to serve yourself !! I just ate locally as you are spoiled for choice with restaurants in La Cala. My real problem was the bedding!! The sheets didn’t fit the single bed properly I ended up every night having to make the bed in the middle of the night as the sheets were wrapped around me. I mentioned it when I checked out to the receptionist. Hope this is useful to future travelers.

Great location

Pros: Location
Cons: Temp of food..
All round good hotel . Great location for La Cala and surrounding areas .. straight onto a lovely beach Down sides .. breakfast not great ; the cooked food kept barely warm on the hot plates , we stayed BB , and only ended up eating breakfast at the hotel on two occasions ; also a decent cup of tea would be nice ; no English breakfast T Bags available!!! and not great coffee from a machine. T making facilities in the rooms would be nice to make a morning cuppa Up side the price we paid for B.B. for a weeks stay no real complaints ; clean towels every day . Room clean and functional for a base which is what we required.. great location

Nice hotel with great buffet breakfast on beach

Pros: Breakfast, sunny balcony location close to boardwalk and excellent beach and town centre restaurants
Cons: hallways are a bit dark at night with automatic light sensors which don't always switch on quickly
Location: location close to 6km boardwalk and excellent beach and town centre restaurants
The VIK Grand Hotel was ideal location for us visiting friends near Mijas Costa. The hotel is a few minutes walk from the centre with many restaurants nearby. The hotel has a large pool and sun terrace and sits on the 6km boardwalk which borders the beach. Great location for walking jogging etc. Reasonable priced pool bar and hotel cafe on 1st floor. We had a side sea and pool view with a large room and balcony. In March you can expect quite a large contingent of elderly people at the hotel. The breakfast buffet was excellent. We got free car parking which was a bonus.

Hotel right at the beach

Pros: Breakfast is great, side sea view from terrace, clean, staffs are polite, room cleaning everyday Cons: No tea making facility in the room, no flat screen TV, mattress are not comfortable

Great Break

Pros: Clean and right on the beach
Cons: Does need a refurb.. towels poor quality
Location: Oliviers bar up the road.. great watersports
Excellent hotel - amazingly clean and friendly staff too. Food above average and great value for money on AI basis. I would recommend
