I was only in Milan for a day. The location is only 5 minutes walk to the train, where you can access everything. Alessandro was a fantastic host and very helpful with giving recommendations. Great deal for anyone wanting to explore Milan!
When you arrive at the B&B, there is no one there to greet you. You ring the bell, say who you are and you are buzzed in. No words spoken. Your key is on a table. We entered the room and it was decent sized and appeared fairly clean (more on this later). As about a 1/2 hour my wife said, “it seems like a bunch of “dudes” run this place.” And she was right….
There is an incredible lack of attention to detail —- no glasses in the room,no bottled water in the room (although there are bottles of water in the breakfast room - you have to search for them). Lights don’t work. Towels are grey and threadbare. Safe doesn’t work. There was a print leaning on top of the armoire taped to a frame without glass-wrinkled, and ripped. Why wouldn’t they just get rid of it or fix it? The rug in the entranceway is so thin that it is completely not functional. You just slip on it. Coffee pods in the breakfast room are not well stocked. Breakfast is supposed to start at 8 AM at about 7:57 a “dude” running in with a bag of croissants and proceeded to set up the breakfast room. He finished about 820 or 830. He barely greeted me, just mumbled the entire time. I think my wife was right! The biggest offence (this was commented on by various other guests): We stayed in the gray room, and the shower was completely full of black mold. The owners know this because of the Expedia reviews, but nothing has been done about it (so they dont give a crap). And…Light streams in all night from the street
We stayed here our first night in Italy. We appreciated a clean place with air conditioning so we could sleep. The location looks to be equidistance between the airport and city center— though we didn’t see the sites due to jet lag. It was relatively quiet (a few barking dogs in the morning) despite being in a large city. We were grateful for an early check in and dark curtains so we could sleep when we arrived. Breakfast was very nice with traditional Italian options (e.g., cold meats), cereal, pastries, drinks and more. There was no place to park our car, but we found a nearby parking garage (10-minute walk). We would stay here again and take time to see the sites.
