Beautifully renovated and updated 'classic Maine camp on a lake'.Stayed as part of a group of 5 while doing a 2-day gravel-bike trip. Being able to float in the lake after a long day was awesome. Plenty of space for 5 people, 6 would be fine if someone shared the big bed. More would get crowded I think.Kitchen is a joy to use, sharp knives (rare in a STR!), and a good cast-iron skillet (in addition to some new nonstick) was great.Good outdoor hangout spaces at the front and back which was helpful for being in/out of sun and wind.
We had the most wonderful time at this home! The amenities were so thoughtfully preparedâfrom the basket of Turkish towels for our use, to the local jam & coffee, a nicely outfitted kitchen, and beyond. The home was clean and comfortable, and located in a gorgeous and quiet spot on the lake! The view is really stunning, and the local art featured is such a nice touch. We had a very comfortable and peaceful stay, and are looking forward to making it a tradition!
You couldn't get a more ideal location, with incredible views and a comfortable, clean, and well stocked home. The owners are highly responsive and kind. Located right off the golden road with lots of opportunity to see wildlife, close to some great food options (knifes edge brewery), and secluded enough to be incredibly peaceful and restoring. A beautiful long weekend away!
This waterfront home is better than you could image. The sunsets from the porch are just magical and something that is going to bring us back. Everything was provided for kayaking, having a fire, cooking a home, family game night. The house is so close to the Baxter state park entrance and the few restaurants in the area. We will definitely be back!
We had such a wonderful time! The weather was rainy but that didnât damper the activities. There was plenty of room for two families including small children. Lovely lovely camp! We will be back!
