What a great spot to relax and enjoy the best of Maine with such a spectacular view. Had fun getting out on the kayaks and sitting by the fire pit at night.
This was a fantastic experience! The views are amazing, the cabin is comfortable, and we really enjoyed having access to the canoes. Mandy was very prompt with answering questions.
Our second time staying at this peaceful and rustic cabin and we canât wait to return. The view is absolutely amazing, listening to the loons, fishing in the lake, paddle boarding and canoeing, and our dogs had an absolute blast playing in the lake (they remembered from last year!) To us the seclusion is everything, a true escape from it all.
We loved the peace and tranquillity. Although an outdoor shower is not our preference, we enjoyed the experience of it! The cabin was roomy and we just felt like we were at home!
An amazing rustic cabin with an amazing view. Even the outdoor shower has an amazing veiw of katahdin. Fire pit was such a perfect place to hang out at the end of the day. Will return!
Had a great stay (4 nights). Picked this place for the view, which did not disappoint, and the boats. Was able to do some fishing and outdoor fires everyday. Keep in mind it is a long drive down a fire road and a slightly step driveway (you can park at the top and walk down to the cabin). Not a problem but glad I booked an AWD SUV. Some of the beds are a little wore out but manageable. Hot water also runs out quick, so take a quick shower. Docks and porch will need some work. All and all, happy with the stay and location. Thanks again.
Super cool, rustic and cozy lodge in a quiet, stunningly beautiful setting. Amazing few days playing in the mountains, whitewater rafting, and just enjoying the lake. Wish we could stay longerâŠbut definitely planning to come again. Outdoor shower, dock/beach with paddle boards/kayaks, campfire pit, and everything you would need indoors for a comfortable stay. Thank you for sharing this home with us!
Super private and secluded setting right on the lake with GORGEOUS views. Private beach with canoes, kayaks, and a dock (the kids loved all of it). We loved the rustic charm of the house and even though we stayed during the hottest days of the summer, the rooms cooled off nicely at night with the many provided fans! There is an expansive deck to relax on and the outdoor shower was amazing after spending the day by the water or coming back from a hike! There is super fast wi-fi available as well if you need that, but it was nice to just spend time outside away from electronics for a couple days!
We absolutely loved our stay here. We definitely want to come back. We had just gotten married the week before and weâre looking for some peace and quiet and this was perfect. I love all of the character this place has. It was so comfortable and cozy!
Easy check in. Kitchen functional, could use more supplies. WiFi excellent. Some safety issues that should be taken care of. The garbage situation did not work well.
We had a maginificent stay here with my family to celebrate our wedding. The house was stunning as was the location. Our host was fantastic with communication and very easy to work with. It was clean, we had everything we needed and we will definifely be coming back! If i could give 10 stars I would!
This was just what we needed, an escape from it all in the North Maine Woods. The cabin made for a real Maine "upta camp" experience - rustic and cozy, and we loved the privacy and seclusion it offered. The view of Mt. Katahdin was amazing - we spent the evenings relaxing on the dock: fishing and reading, watching the sky change color behind the mountain, and listening for loons (think they'd already started the migration to the coast for the winter, but we still heard quite a few). We loved exploring Lake Ambajejus in the Old Town canoe, and my husband enjoyed taking the canoe out early in the morning to do some fishing. Having our own private beach (with a fun little trail leading down to it) was so nice, and our three dogs had a blast playing in the lake. We were there for 5 nights midweek in mid-September, so it was super quiet on the lake, we pretty much had it all to ourselves (and the weather was surprisingly hot and sunny, we weren't expecting that for the time of year! But nice and cool at night for campfires). We definitely hope to come back to Katahdin Cove one day. Many thanks to the great hosts for sharing your camp with us!
Dear friends and family planned this trip to honor our mother who died in June as a family. We spent many years hiking Katahdin and Baxter State Park. Our trip here was to honor her and we got to look at the great mountain every Day. Missed on the lake Sunrising to the east and absolutely beautiful area. Camp was rustic, which was just what I wanted. The outdoor shower was heavenly. Our weather was spectacular and the lake was swimming every day. We used the kayaks in the canoes went fishing. We took full advantage of the amenities of this beautiful spot with bonfires to begin our day and at the end of our day. Absolutely beautiful. Loved every bit of it. Thank you so much.
every evening.
Cabin was rustic (as advertised), but was very charming, surprisingly spacious and comfortable, and it came well-stocked with everything our family of 4 needed for a great week at the lake. The property's stunning Katahdin views and interaction with the water (2 docks and a large private sand beach) were particular strengths. We would love to stay here again in the future!
My family and I had an amazing week! Great communication with Mandy with any questions. The camp was comfortable and had everything we could need. We loved the 2 options of docks for our boat, morning coffee and fishing on the front dockâïžswimming and the beach in the cove was a favorite of the grandkids!!!
