I booked several months back and the communication between me and the host was outstanding. This continued into and after our trip. The space was great for our group to stay. The youth played ping pong, pool and video games. They watched movies and utilized the house to their advantage. Cooking in the kitchen was easy and had all the tools necessary to be able to feed our group of 12.The bedrooms were clean and fit the group we had.We had a small ant issue that the host quickly had someone to come out and spray which resulted in the resolution of this issue.I would recommend staying here to anyone who needs a place for a larger group. If and when we come back to Milwaukee, we will definitely be staying here. Thanks to our host for allowing us to use this space.
This was the perfect spot for a bachelors weekend in Milwaukee. A real short drive to downtown, plenty of great food nearby, and the amenities at the house were great.
The property was Amazing ! There were 7 adults in our party. We had plenty of space , so many fun games and things to do . Super clean property in a nice, safe neighborhood.I would definitely stay there again !
Our stay was awesome. The beds were very comfy! The home was cozy, yet full of activities. It was perfect for our group of friends traveling together for work. We look forward to *hopefully* staying here again soon.
I loved this property!! The rooms were comfortable and cool!! We were there for the winter and played the games that were provided! I suggest Quelf it was an interesting game! The host was very good with communication and it made it easier for my stay!
We're a family of nine, and the place was perfect for us. It was so nice to have a rental that had do many games and activities for times we stayed in.
Wonderful reuse of an old building. Lots of room, beds and area for relaxing. It's fairly close to everything in Milwaukee so the location is great. Host is great communicator.
This is a fantastic house! Location is amazing- we were pretty much 10 minutes from ask the things we wanted to do in the Milwaukee area. Fully stocked kitchen, games to play, great communication! We would highly recommend!
Property was great for our grandchildren. We needed to check out early and notified the manager that we checked out on Tuesday. We kept getting messages as if we were still there right up until our original departure date on Thursday. We also tried to shorten our depart date 30 days prior and were told there would not be a refund. I believe we should have received a 50% refund according to the agreement.
Hoping we at least get our security deposit back. I believe things would have been great if we did not have to leave. Unfortunately 2 of our grandsons had surgeries scheduled after we booked this vacation.
Stayed a long weekend with some friends. The living space was set up nicely. Pool/ping pong table and other games filled in our down time. Plenty of sleeping space. 10-15 minutes from downtown.
The space was great for our family⊠the kids loved the games and the big family room was ideal for us. The host was very responsive and we appreciated his local recommendations! Easy to get to various neighborhoods in Milwaukee. Had a great week!
The Blue Store House is the place to stay for large groups in Milwaukee.
A group of us came to Milwaukee for graduation and stayed at the Blue Store House. We loved the house and it's quirkiness. It was also centrally located to all our points of interest. The host is gracious and responsive. We had a seemless experience and will go back there as soon as we can.
Enjoyed 3 nights in Milwaukee with my family (husband, mother-in-law, 4 kids- ages 9, 3, 1, 1). We were excited about this house and the entertainment it offered for the kids. The layout was perfect, as everything is on one floor. 3 of the bedrooms are in the back of the house- perfect for when the younger kids went to bed earlier than the rest. The kitchen was equipped with a Keurig but only had enough k-cups for one cup of coffee per adult each morning. When we contacted the owner for more, he was very responsive and we were able to get additional coffee for our stay.
The home is definitely old and has a few quirks (I.e. âmeat lockerâ bunk room door does not close, toilet paper hung in the front door window panels in lieu of curtains). We were extremely disappointed with the overall cleanliness and didnât feel the house had been thoroughly cleaned in a while. We found a bowl with what looked like moldy food in one of the closets and there were nails and a brick in the corner of the bunk room on the floor.
We provided this feedback, with pictures, to the owner upon returning home. Overall, the house suited us for our visit but would not stay again and would not recommend.
We booked this property to have a family gathering for my dadâs 90th birthday, and it was perfect for our needs. The front room that was formerly a store is spacious but still comfortable. It has beautiful wood moldings, tasteful accents of blue and black paint, a marble nook that was likely an old desk. Itâs very funky but charming. The attached back quarters was great with a second, small living area and some bedrooms. Our two young granddaughters shared the former freezer-space-turned-loft-bedroom. It was lined with wood and was cozy for themâwe loved this room. The kitchen, though small, was workable, fun, and well-stocked.
We were able to make the front area festive for the party and everyone had a great time.
There was a great assortment of games for all ages--foosball, board games, video games, and a giant connect 4âsuch a nice variety and it made it fun for everyone.
The outside was inviting with the colorful mural. The location is well situated for going any direction in Milwaukee, and communication with the owner/manager was timely and helpful. There's plenty of parking, but a couple of off-limits spots, which the owner explained very clearly.
Our team used this amazing space during our travels for a work trade show. The kitchen, living room, and, other amenities were perfect. Food and drinks were within walking distance. There are lots of great running trails as well.
There were 11 male adults (28-50 age range). We were celebrating an individual's last days of being single. We looked all over the city for a reasonable priced place, that allowed gatherings, and close to the brewers stadium. We found a few but this listing was the best one. Fong was outstanding to work with. There was a glitch in the system and he took care of us well. The place was very accurate on how many people, to what they provided. I would say there are things that are slightly run down (Cabinet were bubbly, foosball table had a few things broken) and was slightly dirty (top of the cabinets, to a few places under the bed). I would say a 4.8 would be an appropriate rating, but Fong was outstanding as a host. Due to his kindness and willingness to help the review needs a 5+ star rating. The last thing I will say is all of the guest were complimenting the property left and right. I would stay there again!
