All the staff were really welcoming at The Royal Oak! Despite there being a large group there, they still made us feel valued. Room was lovely with a great shower, food was amazing and all in a beautiful setting. I slept particularly well so nothing to fault and would love to return!

Lovely peaceful inn

We really enjoyed our two nights in this lovely traditional thatched inn set in pretty peaceful surroundings. Excellent local ales and very good food. Staff were friendly and eager to help. Great spot from which to visit Dunster, Minehead etc and for walking on Exmoor. We hope to return.

Gorgeous food, lovely village

Superb restaurant food for dinner in this delightful village compensates for the rather mediocre room in this ancient inn. However the latter is reflected in the very modes room price and staying here is worthwhile for the dining experience alone. The staff are all very pleasant and helpful

An enjoyable stay. We were welcomed by Jane on arrival and shown to our room which was very comfortable. Despite staff shortages every effort was made to ensure all guests were happy and comfortable. The food was excellent and well priced.
