I loved this hotel. Great vibe, great staff, great location. My only issue is that the water pressure in the shower was maybe the worst I’ve ever experienced. Difficult to get clean. Difficult to get wet, frankly.

The stay was overall very nice, comfy bed, wonderful unique room and property, great for a night away. The only downside was the staff and communication. We felt like check in was not warm, friendly or informative. We ended up googling to try and figure out what was going on with the bar (almost missed getting drinks and did miss getting food) and were confused about parking. We would have liked to explore the property more but felt limited with the information that was given to us. The front desk staff gave us a feeling that our presence was a hassle for them, both at check out and check in. We wish that they had more information in the room about amenities and the property. With a unique hotel we were expecting something a little different from staff and overall experience. But overall very cool place!

The lady who checked us in was not friendly or helpful. Told us to park in the ramp but didn't explain how to get back into the hotel. We eventually figured out that we had to walk out to the street, up the sidewalk, and enter the hotel on the side entrance. A heads up would have been helpful. When we entered our room on the 5th floor the heat was on high and the temperature in the room had to be 80°. One of the windows was open but that wasn't helping to cool the room. We were never able to control the temperature. The room was nothing special but it was clean and quiet. The included breakfast was well stocked and had a good selection. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful after our less than stellar check in.

We stayed in a room on the bottom floor. The heat in the room was either on or off. So at one point the temperature of the room was 57 degrees and at another point it was in the 80's. We called the front desk (which we did on our cell phone, because there is no phone in the room) and asked if we could adjust the heat. We were told that it was an old building and there was no adjusting it. If we wanted to cool down the room we could open the windows. Our windows were on the ground floor and we could see people walking outside and it was 18 degrees outside. I asked to talk to a manager and was told that they would call me, they never did. We were also disappointed with the breakfast, they ran out of warm food while we were there. On a positive note, the rooms were very clean and it was in a good location near the Grand Casino Arena.

The room was amazing. Only little thing, bathroom faucet was just trickling not a decent stream of water. Great breakfast! Great atmosphere in the hotel with it being in a nunnery.

We were charged for snack bar items, that we did not purchase. We neither purchased anything from the bar nor the snack bar. We made no extra purchases what so ever! There was a cart in the room with bottled water and coffee. We did not use any of these items either. At our check in we were told that we had to change our room type from the one we booked. No reason offered. The woman at the desk assured us it would be an upgrade at no extra charge. We agreed to it. So there should be no charge for this either. We asked to speak to the manager. He was not available. We asked them to review their video surveillance as there was a camera by the snack bar.The woman at the desk stated she would forward the issue to the owner for review. The charges on the credit card disappeared for a few days then reappeared unchanged. Nobody contacted us with any explanation. If this happened to us, i am certain it will happen to others. We are very upset over these fraudulent charges. If it happened to us, iI am sure it will happen to others.
