Overall great stay , the only thing that hotel management has to consider not to put people to work early mornings or Sat/Sunday mornings. So much noise on the property, could not have peaceful rest on my vacation. Any work on the property should start at least after 10am, people come to relax and vacation, not everyone wake up early.

The hotel is within walking distance from so many restaurants, stores and a performing arts theater and even a grocery store. There have a farmers market on Saturdays.

The guy that check me and my family was great but the room was crazy dirty and have a smoke smell we wouldn’t sleep in the room with my kids… we was just so tired to go back to the front and try to change home and with three kids that was just too much.. I just clean it myself well the best way and open the window ect… I had to look somewhere else the last night instead for just adding one more night..

Nice hotel great location however they did not advise at check in they don’t have housekeeping. The next day after the beach we came back to our room after a long hot day and it was not clean no towels nothing. I called the front desk they advised housekeeping only comes every other day. Then we waited 45 min for towels while my family sat wet dirty and cold in the room. When my daughter went to the front desk to just pick them up, she was told no because housekeeping was bringing them and we waited another 20 min for them. We asked for 4 towels and wash clothes since it was 4 of us and only got 3. Also the breakfast is horrible. We are the first day and after that we didn’t even go down for breakfast. The pool was nice but never any clean towels. I went to the front desk to ask for pool towels the first day, the next same thing. The day after that I didn’t even bother to ask again. This is off season so it wasn’t even that busy. We come to Destin several times a year, I was very surprised that this Marriott had these issues. I don’t think I would stay here again. Hotel room and grounds are good and clean, but just a few things we didn’t like.

I did like the staff! Did not like how our room wasn’t fully cleaned (floors). Big fan of hotel breakfast foods, the food when we got there at 9:00 was not great. The oatmeal was bland, the eggs were rubbery, the toast had a strange flavor, and even the biscuits were weird. I did appreciate having oat milk for the cereal!
