So much to love, but unfortunate circumstances

We have stayed in Laurel Grove for years now. We absolutely love the area and amenities. This home was simply put, gorgeous.Pros: Beautiful location. The golf carts were very nice and well kept. They are kept in a garage which is a nice little added perk. There was plenty of parking for two vehicles. The furnishings are nice and comfortable, including all of the beds. We would absolutely stay here again if we were guaranteed the bad and ugly was taken care of. So here are our cons...Cons: On night two, we found a roach in the bathroom drawer where we had put our toothbrushes. We had to run out to buy new toothbrushes because we left the baggies open that we stored them in. Huge inconvenience. The following night, another roach was found in the adjacent bathroom. Management sent a company to spray pesticides WHILE we were staying which we had to decline due to the safety concerns. We ended up seeing a third roach in the kitchen sink a couple days following. The worst part was the MOLD. Every single ceiling air duct vent was COVERED in black mold! Not just a little, but a LOT. This home is going to need a whole remediation to be fixed and safe for others to stay in. We had a couple in our group with asthma so this was a major concern. Management said they would address the issue and I really hope they do because we would love to return.

Great place

We stay in Laurel Grove every year for Thanksgiving. This house was one of the best. The beds are comfortable and the house was clean. The golf carts are in great condition, which isn’t always the case. The property management was quick to respond when we had questions and when we had a maintenance issue. My only suggestion is the kitchen could be stocked better with bigger frying pan and more than a 2 slot toaster. I know most people probably don’t cook much on vacation, but with six people it was challenging to cook on the smaller size pans.

Second time saying here!

My wife and I first visited this home a few years ago and loved it, along with the area. We enjoyed our stay so much we came back with friends and had a blast. The home is one of the cleanest homes we’ve stayed in. If you ever need anything the communication is very fast between us and the mgmt team for the home. I usually receive a response in about a minute, no joke. The golf carts are fully loaded and have Bluetooth, so cruising the neighborhood is a blast for us at night. We literally take the golf carts everywhere. Thank for an another fantastic stay!

Disappointed that one of the golf carts was not available to us- as indicated in the reservation. However property management company communicated with me and was available to answer any questions. The neighborhood was great and we enjoyed our time!

Perfect

They have everything anyone could possibly need. My family has stayed on property for 25 yrs. and we love it. We stay all over the plus was having golf carts. We have always had them because my dad had a place in Island Green, but since he passed we have not had them. This is one of a few that had a garage for the golf carts and with the rain we had it was wonderful. We will be staying at this property again. Thanks for making our stay perfect!!!

Clean, Exceptional Location, full access to Sandestin property and amenities.

This is an excellent house for a family stay (6-12 people) or a couple of couples. The house was clean, comfortable, and had plenty of spaces to enjoy. Kitchen is fully adequate.. Beds, Baths, and Family Spaces are spacious. The Sandestin community has so much to do, beach, golf, pool, dinner, shopping, events, etc. To really enjoy it you need a golf cart... this rental had two.. but in excellent condition. I didn't have to touch my car for a week... except for my drive to Destin for a Fishing Charter...which is a nice option and 20 min drive. Property is great. The property manager does a very good job of managing the home... I would suggest getting your own paper products, trash bags, and dish soap... that $25 will make things easier on you. Fully reccomend.

Overall the place was nice, the only problem we had was the AC wasn’t attended to until Saturday and we were there on Thursday. And we were not able to use the golf carts because the code that was given us did not work, call the front office and was told the manager was going to give us a new code but never got one.

Family vacation

Overall we were very happy with this property. Just a few comments, Codes to garage, club house and fitness center did not work. Stayed 5 days and had one flimsy kitchen garbage bag and one roll of toweling. Kids found 6 golf balls and left them on the back porch. They were gone in the morning. Concerned that someone would be on the property at night.

Excellent Stay

We really enjoyed our stay and loved the property being on the golf course with easy access to stores, and the beach. Property was clean and management was very responsive with any questions we had. Having two golf carts was a huge plus as well.

Great vacation

We’ve stayed at Sandestin multiple times over the last 10 years, and this was easily our favorite spot. The house was clean, had plenty space for our group of 9, is located in a great location, and has a beautiful back porch. The biggest bonus - two top-notch golf carts that appeared to be almost brand new. We will definitely stay here again.

The Perfect SanDestin Cottage

I go annually to SanDestin for a work related conference and have stayed at every part of the resort. This house is perfectly located to experience the best of what SanDestin has to offer. I highly recommend and I would stay here again.

This property was the perfect size for us. It was very clean and in a quiet neighborhood. The kitchen and garage were well stocked and the beds were comfortable! The golf carts were a much needed addition to our stay.

Perfect House and Setting for large family!

We had an amazing time with our young family! The property was beautiful and had everything we needed. The two golf carts were a big bonus, and all of the needed beach accessories were a plus as well! Can’t wait to come back!

This house is beautifully decorated, very comfortable, and very clean. The golf carts are awesome and my family loved the fact that it came with so many beach accessories. We can't wait to come back!!
