There is nothing unique about this Hotel. The owner has to renovate this establishment. It’s not a place for humans. It’s totally runned down. The car bets are stained all over the place. The lobby is dirty, the sofas are stained, you cannot sit on them. In the rooms the curtains are stained, torn, no blinds. The condition of every furniture is bad, needs fixing or get new. The food is served in a old people home dyining room. Looks like the fifties, or a senatorium in the former USSR. The food itself was eatable but nothing special.
The room price was 395$!!!! For what?

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
This is a nice quiet hotel nearby the Ilya valley and Oboke, and the sightseeing bus to the valley will pick you up at the bottom of the hill. the rooms were spacious and clean and had views of the mountains. The half-board was a good deal too. Slight drawbacks are that you have little choice but cab from the train station and there are no dining choices or even, convenience stores in walking distance or ever snack machines if you need something to munch on.
The hotel is old and exactly what you would expect for an older place in Japan. However, the staff were really friendly, the onsen was nice and the dinner and breakfast great.
