Beautiful rooms but absolutely stop in Sheffield or Devonport for groceries. There is NOTHING else around and don't bother going to Wilmot
Jamie the caretaker is very friendly, ask him about his music
Made Fawlty Towers look good.
No reception facilities, had to walk about in the rain to find someone, James who was very good, to tell me what to do.
Very isolated, as you would expect, but a below average meal supplied by the new owners, when they eventually turned up.
Room was fine but woulen't stay again.
Very clean and nice area. We were informed by Wotif that we should receive check in information prior arrival. We did not and had to call the property. There is no reception at the property. If we would not have been informed we would have ended up there with low reception and no access, not even knowing what room. Thanks to Wotif it did not happen. Amenities were great, clean and as advertised. The only thing not declared sufficiently was a sign at the taps advising not to drink the water unboiled. We found the note in the book provided after we had a cup of tea. Too late if we would have had a glass of water. If advertised that the property is on bore water only you could bring your own.

Nice environment, trees around it, more privacy.
Can see the wallabies
Cradle Forest Inn was a great location for visiting and hiking the Cradle Mountain Park. IMPORTANT NOTE - You must bring your own drinking water - the water there is not potable & must be boiled to be consumed! We had brought 6 litres which we had bought. Without it we would have been hooped.
Room was clean. Shower pressure was hit and miss. No instructions for the TV. No phone/internet connectivity. Bed was quite hard. Good location for Cradle Mt (30min) without the pricing of some of the other closer accommodations.
Had a great night stay here while visiting cradle mountain. The cabin exceeded expectations. It was simple but very clean and had privacy with nice views of the woods. The bed was comfortable with heated blankets and the cabin heat worked great as well. Had a little issue checking in when I was not provided the cabin number and door code (sounds like this is an Expedia issue, not the fault of the property). The onsite caretaker was very nice and got me squared away. Just reach out to them ahead if arriving if you don’t receive a check in code as cell service is very limited in the area. It’s a quick 20 minute drive to the park visitor center from here and there is a small cafe across the street for coffee and food. Would return!
It was lovely to arrive and find the lamps and heating on. The bed was also very comfortable. Only a 20 min drive from Cradle Mountain made it an ideal location for our stay.

Room was in good condition
No contact with staff.
TV was difficult to operate. When we got it working, the screen questiomed us that we may have watched too much TV!!!!
Unfriendly warnings, insisting on guests washing their dishes, othetwise a surcharge. No tea towels were made available
I like ordimary black tea. Only one tea bag made available. There were a couple of herbal tea bags.
Fantastic accommodations, Jamie the care take was a so friendly and even did a sausage sizzle with bonfire to stay warm.
The only thing that could be added is a wifi signal booster. There was wifi in the shared bbq area but not in the rooms
Caretakers shack had piles of rubbish around, entrance to the property was in a state of disrepair. There are no cooking facilities beyond a microwave or toaster which is pointless in a remote area with limited shopping opportunities where you can get snowed in. The iron was awful and dumped water everywhere, the ironing board did not have a foam cover so anything you iron gets the grid pattern of the ironing board.
Mattresses felt very old and springs were easily felt. Couches were awful, very worn and were essentially a thin piece of foam chucked on top of ply and were threadbare and worn.
Toilets had mould growing on the side of the cistern and the toilet had unflushed toilet paper on arrival.
Bedding was thin, not at all warm and pillows were also thin. TV was tiny.
The only redeeming feature was the spa but only just. No way i will ever be back. Disgraceful for a 4.5 star (apparently, as per their website), I have stayed in nicer 3 star motels.
Friendly and helpful caretaker, beautiful and cosy cottages and all in all just a great time. Make sure you come prepared with food and necessities, as can be a trek to get things if needed.

We had a nice stay there, but the bed wasn't very comfortable and we could hear everything through the walls, which meant the stay wasn't as relaxing as we had hoped. But we still enjoyed ourselves.
