We unfortunately had to cancel within days of booking for personal reasons. I reached out to the owners directly and asked if they could reimburse in full despite the cancellation policy due to the short time between booking and cancelling, and the longer period before our scheduled stay. They replied and said yes but then did not follow through on that and we ended up paying hundreds of dollars for a reservation we did not attend. While the policy states 50% reimbursement on cancellation, the fact that we reached out and received confirmation that we would be reimbursed in full by the owner, only for them to charge us, was off putting.
