Only Jovian and Albert the hookah staff were outgoing and super friendly. Shadine at the front desk checked me in fairly quickly and another lady checked me out but did not bother to ask if I enjoyed my stay or cared to hear any feedback. The bellhop boys were attentive and nice upon both check in and check out. But the staff who is situated at the dining stations/restaurants did bare minimum. The distance for restaurants is so time consuming, it is a large compound. Walking to and from adults only to attend the buffet or any other restaurant is a drag. There’s no convenience at zilara, the buffet & restaurants are a long walk and it’s located in the kid section of Hyatt Ziva. The food at the buffet was terrible on 3/21, the breakfast at the buffet on 3/22 & 3/23 was enjoyable. Room service is good but it’s an additional $10 for each delivery. Fresh coconuts are not included in the all inclusive it was at an additional cost, which is unfair. The entertainment was enjoyable, the cleanliness of the pool is amazing. But there were no pool staff to be found to play a order poolside for drinks or eatery. Nor were there beach staff to order any sort on the beachfront. The rooms are clean but the water pressure was a -0/10.

After a long day at the beach, the room wasn't made up. Every day! It's unacceptable. The restaurant reservation system is from another era. A girl takes down the day and time while you wait in line for 15 minutes. Then you go to the place and your reservation isn't there. The beach is very small and full of stones, so you can't enjoy the ocean. We order a mojito at the bar and there's no mint. Unbelievable. The manager didn't give us any serious feedback regarding the terrible housekeeping service. Expensive hotel with 2-3-star service. Absolutely disappointing.

Property was very nice, staff very friendly and accommodating. Food was good and entertainment was great. Plenty to do. Only negative I have is we did an atv excursion through the resort and it was 400$. 80$ for a cab ride which was a 15 min ride and 300$ for a 45-1 hr atv ride. Wish I knew that before booking as we would have done a different excursion. But resort as a whole was great.

Great location!

Overall it was a great stay however there were a few things to note. First, we were told the steakhouse no longer exists and they should take it off the site. The food was good but nothing spectacular. The portion sizes varied by restaurant and the best was the jerk pork. The room was clean but dated. The mini bar stock was subpar for the price and the $10 room service charge was surprising. Maid service took the towels one day and didnt replace them and it took two calls and two hours to get some. Spa service was fantastic although pricey and the pool and service by the pool was great and fun! Overall it was good but if not for a few things it would be great. Also, the location is perfect, away from airport, and although the beach is a little rocky in the water it was still a great area for swimming. Better than average gym and outdoor sports and plenty of music and dancing by the pools and bars!
