We really enjoyed our stay. Wished for more nightlife on the resort. Would love another breakfast option than the Buffett or croissants! Room service should be $10 a day and not each delivery

The resort and food were great. Our only complaint was that our daughters who stayed in a separate room, woke up at 2 am to the sound of someone trying to enter their room. When they got up, they saw the door had been opened. The latch was on but the door was opened. We reported the incident and were told that it was most likely the wind. I don’t believe that for a second. And if the wind could open a door with a pass key and a bolt lock, then the hotel has a bigger problem!! Very disappointed.

Food, staff & servers were great! Rented 2 bathroom 1 bedroom suite...Sm bathroom didn't have hot water in sink/shower. Full Kitchen with NO glasses, dishes, towels, pans, silverware and cold water in sink. Microwave did not work well & sometimes not at all. Hard to even make tea or reheat leftovers but then you didn't have and dishes or utensiles. No hairdry in room upon ariarrival waited 2 days later to receive one. 1 day took towels but DID NOT leave any clean! No safety bars by tub which are needed because tub is slippery & ledge to climb over is 6" or 7" wide. NOT a safe tub without grab bar. Lge shower slow drains so you stand in ankle deep water. Terrible!Told them about the drains and they pulled th plug in bathroom sink, said it was fine-job done. 1st time ever at a resort where I got insect bits and they blistered. Complained for 1st 4 days about not receiving items that were missing & problems. There is a shuttle that takes guests to & from 3 different buildings for meals transport pickup went from a 5 min wait time to a 35 min wait time...crazy. If you want Ice there isn't any in room no tray to make your own either! Call room service for ice but no glasses to drink provided soda. Room service is $10 charge. We arrived at 2:30p room not ready! Front Desk while we wait sent us to buffet for lunch BUT it closed 2:30.crazy! Others with similar & worse issues. DO NOT Recommend this 4/5 star expensive mess.

The Jewel Grande is pretty nice, the gardens, food selection, beach views and a wonderful and friendly staff. Our room, the junior suite was huge, and comfortable. The buffet staff, Tatianna was extremely kind, attentive and very friendly. The Italian restaurant was our absolute favorite. Again the hostesses and waiters were friendly and very attentive. The gift shop staff, Ashley was more than helpful as well has her coworker. The resort offers many excursions, Simone the tour guide registrar made our trip sign up a smooth process. Only one con, suggestion- it may be beneficial for the Resort to hire extra housekeeping staff, I had to call twice to have my room cleaned; however, housekeeping did come very late in the evening but did an outstanding job! Thank you.

Was a nice property, the breakwater is a real asset on windy days with rough water. Food was decent Staff was great Entertainment was.... Also for the money spent it would have been nice to have authentic drinks or real ingredients instead of the sugar/food coloring/flavoring for the pina coladas/ daiquiris
