The room was really nice and updated compared to the look of the outside of the hotel. Really clean and the front desk attendant answered all my questions. This a really convenient location as the beach is right across the street and we were wven able to take a 15 minute walk to get to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. We will definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel.

Friendly staff and quick check in experience. Average room but we were just sleeping there one night so we didn’t need anything crazy. Close to downtown and it was nice to have a small beach a block away

A bit outdated (damaged furniture) but GREAT price. Mostly clean. There were a few days they didn’t clean the room for us, but they finally did after we asked. The location was wonderful and once again a really great PRICE!!! It is right next to the beach and there is a nice walking trail that takes you all the way down to Lover’s Point. I loved this stay honestly. Just right.

The person at the office was nice. I would have appreciated full disclosure of extra costs such as $17 for parking when booking on Expedia. Not a deal breaker but it appreciate knowing all my costs. The room was large but really outdated. Furniture is pretty banged up and old. Bedding appeared fresh and clean. Floors in the bathroom did not look that clean. There was even an empty water bottle in the balcony area so obviously no one had bother to clean up and check that area.

The location of this hotel is probably the best feature. You can easily walk down Cannery Row and it's about 10 minutes to the Aquarium. Beyond that, the room was decent and clean. There are no frills about the hotel. If you're just looking for a cheaper place to stay, then it's good. What bothered me was the $18/night charge for parking. A ridiculous money grab that hotels have taken advantage of. Who's going to travel there and not have a vehicle? I hate that... and the parking lot was full. Just charge more per night and offer free parking. Sheesh.

The front desk gentleman was very nice. The fireplace was gas but did not work but I didn't call to have it serviced. The room only had lamps which left the room not properly lit. The high ceilings were nice and the bathroom was nice as well. The location was the best, the beach was across the street and Cannery Row was a 5 min walk.

The TV and Remove didnt work, staff wasnt helpful. Didnt feel welcomed, staff seemed like they didnt want to interact with with customers. Ran out of toilet paper, went to go get some and office was closed. Had to buy own toilet paper. Each time I passed by desk for help regarding anything or just walked but no one was there. You can tell place was not vacuumed in a very long time. You could tell that the room was rushed cleaned. Room made us feel itchy, got a rash, and triggered allergies to the point we had to check out 15 hours earlier.
