The staff was terrible! Had to wait over 10 minutes in our car so that we can check in. There were several bell boys standing by the entrance just talking. Nobody was able to assist us getting down our luggage bell boys just looking at us with all our luggage not even to offer a cart to put them on.

Once checking in, front staff (Lily) said it would be just a few minutes till the room was ready. No problem. I waited over an hour in the lobby with no room. No communication of what we’re waiting for. Went to go check on the room progress - they told us they gave our room away to someone else. After an hour - went to go check and they still said to wait. Because they hadn’t cleaned the room yet. It was 4:30 pm - when check in was 3 pm. They never offered to upgrade to a nicer room. Only once I asked if they can upgrade us to a different room did they do that- unwillingly - they should have upgraded us from the second we were checking in. The room they “upgraded” us to was not an upgrade but a lesser room with a worse view. No remorse or any apologies for poor service. For a luxury hotel, this is not luxury service for their guests. Next time - I’ll take my business anywhere else. Will never stay here again.

I traveled 3 hours to come celebrate my birthday in San Pedro and I wanted to stay at the safi. So I booked my room in advance and paid in advance. On the way I got a message from Safi via WhatsApp expecting me to get there. Booking was confirmed right? We got a flat tire on the way to the hotel and didn't arrive until 12 AM. As soon as we get there the three ladies in the front were talking in Spanish so I wouldn't understand. I did. I could over hear them say "we're fully booked" they said they had no rooms available for me (when I had booked in advance) Is this how they do this here at safi that even when you paid days before booked days before they don't care and they'll give your room away to someone who's checking in first. After 45 min back and forth fighting over the unfair situation my husband asked for the managers name and they did not want to provide her name until my husband demanded they shared with us the supervisors name is Lizette. We are new to this city had nowhere to go.. it was 1 am with no rooms in sight we were so tired and left without a room. SAFI DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THE CLIENT
