We had a blast at the cabin..Was even planning on coming back.. Even with paying almost $3,500 for 3 days..
It was a dated for sure and the main house can use some upgrades but overall it was fab… it was after we left when we realized maybe we won’t be back to this cabin again..
I received a very rude text message from Ray asking about the microphone for the karaoke.. we had a large group and one of the kids must’ve picked it up.. no biggie, we mailed it directly back.. then came the messages of how we tore blinds, cots, window screens, chairs, bikes, didn’t put trash in bags or bins, they had 2 1/2 hours extra cleaning time.. etc.. unreal!
We worked our tails off cleaning before we left.. even had the bulk of the towels washed, folded and put away.. the dining hall was spotless and even swept, the bunkhouse needed new linens, swept and bathrooms cleaned and the main house was literally just slept in.. kitchen was not touched nor the living room.. the trash was bagged and we filled the bin.. we started placing the trash outside the bin bc well it was full.. there was a camper parked by the other bin and we didn’t realize it was ours to use..
So he sent a $95.00 charge.. that we paid..
I wake up this morning to that charge on my card and then ANOTHER $253.00 charge on my credit card that we was not aware of!
Cabin is great, owner doesn’t handle the business side very well.. He could have approached us in a more business/respectful like manner but didn't.
All the “damage” was not done by us.. Ray has taught us to take before and after pictures when we rent…
